I have really enjoyed this season, regardless of how it ends. If we stay up I would be over the moon, if we go down then I’ll look forward to next season.

We would start the Championship season with parachute payments (which don’t guarantee success, but really help).

I also think we’d have the bones of a decent squad based on players who would stay:

Horvath

Williams, Worrall, Niakhate, Richards, McKenna, Panzo

Yates, O’Brien, Shelvey (?), Colback

Bowler, MGW, Awoniyi, Wood, Dennis (?)

Obviously we may not keep all of those players, but I think it’s not too unrealistic. We’d also likely bring in some more quality.
Boly would stay, another Prem team won’t take him.
You’ve also missed Toffolo,

Colback is out of contract and will leave at the end of the season regardless of the league we’re in.
Danilo will stay with us as would Scarpa

Must admit that I forgot a few. I can see Scarpa at Oly. Wonder if the big man would rather have Danilo spending a year starting in the Championship and spearheading a promotion push over a year at Oly? I think Taiwo would be a real asset in the Champ. Dennis is an interesting one. On his day he’s excellent, but how often is his day?

Forget Richards. He will  never play for us

None of this really matters anyway.

We have Steve now and like I said yesterday we will never know now what would have happened if we had changed manager after Leicester away.

Sounds like EM f****d up big time then

Not sure why you are being so provocative there is some really good posts and debate going on here.

Quite the contrary.

Plenty of posts laying the blame solely at Steve’s door.

Would be nice to see some balance and ultimately the buck stops with EM.

I personally was amazed he didn’t relieve SC of duties after Lesta away. I would have been unable to argue otherwise and I was there until I walked out unable to watch anymore as I was surrounded by them in the home end.

Yes EM must take some blame and then so should SC for his tactics and team management but it surprises the hell out of me when not many people are blaming the players who like I've said before once that whistle goes its upto them to do the simplest of things right like string a bunch of passes together and try to create scoring chances but it seems to me once they're on the pitch things goto shite and if we go down alot of the first team need to take alot of the responsibity.

EM isn't on the pitch doing the job the players get paid handsomely for but yes perhaps should've got rid of SC earlier and SC isn't on the pitch doing the job the players get paid handsomely for but yes perhaps should've realised he needed a more experienced Ass man next to him to help on the tactic selection and team management.

These last 6 games are going to be a struggle but my personal thought was we played a bit better against Liverpool so hopefully the players realise that and push on.

When has any player taken the blame and admitted responsibility? Never its always the manager. That's part of the job it's what they get paid for.

Despite everything what has been said Steve can still make himself a hero again. A few more twists and turns to come yet. COYR!

And why the hell shouldn't they take some of the blame especially the money they're on. If they're on 20k/30k/40k and more then yes they should take some of the blame. If you and me went to work and constantly did a shite job we'd be demoted or even sacked so because of some of these prima donnas think its feck all to do with them the worse its going to get and why should I spend my hard earned money on the season ticket every year to watch some of these lazy shites. At no point should anyone think they are totally blameless and if they do f**k them off because they don't want to fight for the team and it'll cause problem in the team as a whole.

This is the Premier League mate. Many of our squad on double that and more.

As to these senior professionals not being able to pass a ball to their teammate 10 yards away, I absolutely agree with you.
