Stevie Cooper

My original point which sparked this debate is that I believe EM now regrets not changing coach after losing at Leicester, it's not so much about the present.

Sad to say that it currently looks like Steve is taken us down realistically speaking, although it's far from over but current form etc suggests that the tide is against us.

Would a different coach after Leicester have kept us up and have us safe now? The truth is that we will never know the answer to that question, we can only guess and assume what might have been and who it might have been.

Doesn’t that mean that if EM had the ability to change manager (feeling at the time that he should have done but sticking with SC due to fan support) that EM is more culpable for taking us down than anyone else?

Don’t forget the backing of Cooper meant we went on a brilliant run and got 17 points ish - we might not have had that bounce with a new manager

Wolves are absolutely not worse or the same. The others I would agree with.

Yes tbf I just checked and they were 19th when he took over so clearly have improved a bit, from a very low base though. They also spent around 80m in Jan which probably helped a bit.

Lopetegui has also transformed Wolves into the the most cynical, whinging and unlikable team in the Premier League. No other team approaching their 6 red cards.

Yes I know most of you take that as long as we stay up. Still say Wolves have spent over £400m on their squad to produce a hugely negative team. Forest are better than that.

They've been like that for years, before he got there. Remember the likes of Michael Branch and Kevin Muscat?

I think everyone is missing the point.

All clubs who have changed managers have picked up more points than us.

We have won just 6 games all season. I think we have picked up just 3 points from the last 36 available.

No club who changed manager have worse stats than that.

Well Southampton are below us so they do.

Also, of course all clubs have changed managers have more point as that is all of the bottom half.

West Ham have more points too and they didn't change manager.

You are picking a random time frame to make your argument.

3 months ago you could have picked results from the previous 12 games to make exactly the opposite point that sticking with a manager lead to a decent unbeaten run and 17 points on the board.

Its only fair to judge over a season and is why the premier league cry of lets sack the manager because he hasnt won for a few games is so ridiculous.

Yes but 3 months ago most hadn't changed managers, I think only Wolves had done it.

None of this really matters anyway.

We have Steve now and like I said yesterday we will never know now what would have happened if we had changed manager after Leicester away.
