Shoulder, that is all I know.

I do know that if he has got a Rotor Cuff injury (shoulder), that can take from 6-8 weeks for the tendon to heal to the bone. It could potentially take 4-6 months to completely heal though. I'm not saying that is the injury though, but it could well be.

If it isn't treated properly, he will suffer with it until it is operated on (I know, I have had a Rotor Cuff injury for over 30 years, but cant afford to have the time off work to get it sorted). It is bloody painful too!!

Kouyate did his hamstring and we push him back on again to aggravate it and f**k it up even more.

Niakhate did his hamstring and he plays on and we fail to hook him off straight away so he aggravates and f***s it up even more.

Levels.

Niakhate was injured and limping before we made our final changes.
1) why didn’t the bench spot this if I did !
2) why didn’t Niakhate just go down and get treatment before we made the changes

People rightly asking questions about the sheer number of injuries and how we deal with them. Im sure Evangelos will be having a quiet word with those responsible. They are:

Arnaldo Abrantes
Head of Medical & Physical Performance
Ex olympic athlete, Joined us from Portugal in 2020

Dimitris Kaplanis
Senior First Team Physiotherapist
Joined from Olympiakos 2019

Worth noting that we had agreed a deal with Arsenal to bring in their head physio, Simon Murphy in the summer. That reportedly fell through during the uncertainty over Coopers position in September. As I understand the position of head physio has not been filled.

Not having a head physio feels like a mistake!

They are the minions not the people in charge.

Physios don't cause injuries, they fix them!

Last season we had alot of luck with injuries, this season, not so much. That's basically it.

The problem is though Zico, is when the manager doesn't listen to the advice of the Physios and plays a player if he is not ready.

This is a problem my Daughter has come across at the club where she works, often ending up with the injured player coming off re-injured.

I'm not saying Cooper doesn't listen to the Physio's advice, but it could be a possibility I guess.

It would also help if we got them off the pitch straight away once they are injured instead of them being asked to continue and then aggravating the injury even more. Who's decision is that?

Sometimes it's the players decision Sniff........"I'll see if I can run it off" sort of thing.

Bloody difficult to run off a pulled hamstring Tricks  :fishing:

I can't believe that we learnt nothing from keeping Niakhate on against West Ham earlier in the season. At Villa we did it again twice with both Kouyate and Niakhate.
