Agree with most of that Pap. Thought Johnson was pretty good actually and a constant threat but agree his final ball was poor.
Think Cooper set us up deliberately to match up Palace who play a very similar formation, Zaha is a superb player but probably isnt an orthodox strike either.
All in all to create by far the better chances I am very happy.
Im not the only one then who thought MGW looked well offside even on the freeze frame! Always loved VAR me.

Re the pen Salv, I said to my dad that I reckon we must have kicked off to the premier league this last week about the Brentford shambles and that might have nudged this decision today our way a little. He looked miles offside to me.

Great win today. Wozza and Boly looked sound after the first 15, 20 minutes when it looked a bit chaotic. I said the other night, its nice having a player like Wozza in there who can play out. It makes such a difference.

Some were laughing the other day when I said Yates could yet play for England. But this is what, the 4th or 5th  game in about 6 or 7 that he's run the game? Keep going like that and good things happen.

Autier is an absolute rock now for us and if it weren't for Yates he'd be my player of the season so far.

Lingard looks fit now. Im sure he had 2 chins when we signed him. MGM looks suddenly full of confidence too.

Thr only frustration now for me is Johnson. I dont like to beat the lad up but I still dont know what he's adding to the side. He cant cross, he misses chances and his pace is not the weapon it was last season. He frustrates me because he's playing in there ahead of a proper striker who would give us a physical presence.

But enough negatives todsy was a great performance against a pretty good team. We got out of jail with the penalty miss and I reckon MGW was easily offside but we ground out a win, which is what matters. Great day and we can now enjoy the world cup not being on the bottom.

You've got to think its between Brennan and Lingard for that last spot once we sign a striker in January. At this point I reckon we're a good striker away from being a good team. Admittedly it's the hardest and most expensive position to find so easier said than done!

If SC is being given 100M war chest we need to spend BIG on a CF .
Mangala and Niakhate have 6 weeks to get fit they will be like new signings and huge for us after the WC.
Also Scarpa could be a real wild card.
J think BJ starts last 2/3 games he has looked like last seasons Brennan,  its between MGW and Jesse for the last spot . 
Worral and Yates will become mainstays this season bleed Garibaldi .
Frueler 2nd half today showed why we brought him and his international class  , with yates and Mangala we have balance and also  O’Brien from the bench CM is covered . 
Lodi and Serge are PL fullbacks and Hendo has allready secured us 6 points.
Shame we dropped points against Bournemouth and Fulham as we would be sat in top 10 tonight .

- Front 3 looked really sharp and dangerous throughout.
- Freuler looked very decent and was a contender for the Yates award (formerly Man of The Match award).

- CBs did very well.
- 1 goal conceded in 3 games since Arsenal.

Great result, decent performance. Shame there's a break in many ways.

Mention for Palace fans who didn't slope off the way Spurs fans did at the end, but stayed to applaud their team off for their efforts.  Proper supporters.

Hopefully with the bulk of the squad being available for next 6 weeks, SC can really foster a great team spirit and togetherness and the improvements in both results and performances we've seen since Leicester will continue. Certainly after that rough spell in September things have picked up and now they have a good chunk of time on the training ground with a bit of pressure off and a bit more self belief

This is certainly a unique situation but we are right in the pack with today's result.

It depends how many players (and key players) they are losing. I've not been paying attention much to WC squads so not sure how we compare to other teams around us.
