Corberan could be in with a wild card shout.......with LOB and Toff in the squad.
He certainly got a shite Uddersfield team into the play off final.
Bielsa is another wild card.
Both of them have a point to prove and certainly no lacking in desire to fire things up.

I think if Corberan hadn’t just been sacked by Oly then he’d definitely be considered.

“Probably a new Manager will come in (like Rafa) & want to turnover most of the squad (& backroom staff) & the cycle will continue.
Clubs are a reflection of the strategy delivered from the top…until that changes I’m not sure the City Ground will have the same feel about it.”
Yep this is my fear.
Yeah. Throwing money at problems isn't always the solution, in fact it rarely is. So we might get a new manager that the majority agree is a good manager and even if results improve in the short term will it matter if there's no strategy behind them? It won't, we'll just be back here in another 12 months or so.

They would come as a pair if they come at all.

I can’t see Bielsa coming back to the Prem. I think he’d be too loyal to Leeds. I think he was holding out for a job in Spain, possibly Sevilla?

Hes not a zero he's a talented guy. He's just reached the end of the road. Every coach gets to this stage eventually, even the good ones. You've got to admit Redgirl that the poor performance last night was down to much more than unfamiliarity. The basics weren't being done right. We're not drawing games we should be winning, or losing games we should be drawing, we're getting thumped every game now. Conceding goals and not taking chances. It ends only one way.

The Watford strategy essentially, costs them a fortune, makes no-one want to work with them and doesn't really get you any further anyway. If the goal is to be a Brighton, Wolves, Brentford type of club then this is not the way to go.
I could not agree more with everything you're saying. There are very few times when the sacking the manager as a newly promoted team has led to long term success. There are definitely more examples of teams not sacking managers and gradually turning it around.

8 games though, this isn't a year like Hughton. 8 games ago he was the best manager of my lifetime. Has he really shown in 8 games that he's now the end of the road? 8 out of 38 including games against Spurs and Man City.

It's not just that though Wassy is it. There is a bigger picture than the one you are painting.

I agree its tragic but we're so behind the prem league curve right now I'd put our chances of staying up under Cooper at 10%. Maybe less.
So the question is, are you prepared to go down with a whimper, maybe get 15 points all season? That's what'll happen while we wait for the click. You and I may be, but the club's stature in the game and the owner's ambition suggests that it's not going to be allowed to happen. We're not a Huddersfield or a Sheff Utd who would be content with just being in the prem for a short while, we're a club who, if the right buttons are pressed, could be continual top 10 finishers, year on year. Thats the problem for Cooper. He's awoken a giant.

The difficulty is that our club is not a Watford. Watford are a yo-yo team whose strategy has paid off with several parachute payments to keep them fairly wealthy. We have invested hundreds of millions into a squad to try and stay in the league. EM will be desperate to stay in the league at all costs, and he won’t care if that involves changing manager. If we were to go down, there’s no guarantee we’d come back up. It could be a very very long time. That’s what EM is desperate to avoid.

Agree with that but disagree about not coming straight back up. This one season in the prem is likely to make us championship promotion challengers for the next to seasons after relegation. Im sure the stats will bear that out.
