Who leaked the team news yesterday and why?

I'm so surprised this isn't being treated as more of a big deal.

It may not have changed the result, but Bournemouth (and anyone looking on the #nffc timeline on Twitter) had a clear idea of our starting 11 the night before a huge match.

Advantage, Bournemouth.

My huge worry right now is how after 23 years of waiting and finally making it to the Prem, all that hard work is being undermined.

To me Cooper doesn't seem the same as last season, of course there's more pressure now & it's a harder job. But we need everyone pulling together behind the scenes & on the pitch, play the best 11, utilise the wealth of new talent & bring on the right subs (now is not the time to be making a point with sub selection).

There's plenty of matches to go. But I hope whatever might not be right is fixed quickly or we could be in trouble soon.

If its same players again.....all the old Championship team plus "his" signings.....then we know what the problem is, and we know its going to be a sacking coming soon..........

Perhaps thats why he is not signing the new contract, as ne knows that he will be getting sacked as he is not on board with the boards view of how we go about the PL.

I have a horrid feeling all is not well.
Cooper has put too much faith in the remaining players and making Worrall and Yates captains is a bit rash from the point of view that there is better quality players here now. I get it and hope it’s just a case of bedding in players to his ways of working but everyone can surely see that it isn’t working - we are not as good as last year with millions spent at the moment and the MGW Lingard and Jonno front line is just not what is needed.
I’ve missed the last 2 home games so it may be that I’m a lucky charm that’s needed!

Indeed all is not well and yesterdays 'political' team named by Cooper and bringing on Colback further proves the point along with what Ozzy said.

Some things are stinking and it needs sorting ASAP or unfortunately people will pay with their jobs and it might not be just the manager either. We need our strongest team on the field not our 'political' team and we need results and points on the board that is the only thing that will prevent change like it or lump it, I am just telling you how it is.

Sniff- sorry but you are alluding to disharmony behind the scenes presumably between cooper and the Greeks- or cooper and Dane.
Posters are now second guessing which signings were ‘his’ signings and I don’t understand this talk about a political line up against Bournemouth- political? How? Making what point and to whom?

I just don’t understand this. Cooper was surely involved in all of these decisions; we’ve broken the bank for ‘his’ boy MGW. We brought in 3 left backs, one a full Brazilian international.

The only two that don’t quite ‘fit’ to me are toffolo and Lingard.
So which other players were not wanted by cooper?

So come on sniff, clarify the issues so we can properly understand, please.
Or else it’s just going to feed the rumour mill and increase the problem.

EM is not stupid.

I believe he will have suitable "succession planning" in progress.

In order to attract the best managers (IF NEEDED) he has ensured the squad has enough quality in it.....with a number of Welsh, Swiss, Brazilian etc..... internationals).

So in case it is needed......NFFC in the PL with a quality squad will attract the right calibre of manager.

Perhaps we will find out that Steve Cooper is good at managing a small close nit squad, but cannot manage a big skilled squad ? Perhaps he has not got the required steel to drop is favourite players for better ones ?

This is now a test of Steve Cooper in my view, and he will pass or fail depending on the next few games, his tactics and who plays........he might go down with Yates and Cook and McKenna and Worrall and Johnson all playing......which will show he has not got it and cannot make the tough decisions needed at the top of the game.

i think you right in what you say JWJW , this is his big test and I'm afraid the next two matches are the test for him and I believe if he doesn't do something fast and stop stupid team selections, players out of position like BJ who isn't a striker because he is a goal maker should be out wide and play with a striker, drop that lot in defence he will be gone, you can all like it or not and come back with he got us here and crap but the reality is this a results based game and you will be judged by your results simple as that . he stops the rot, or the owners will .

I do remember some rumours surrounding the dennis signing, that cooper didn't fancy him and his lack of game time might back that up. 

On the other hand, you could argue that cooper is trying to stick to players who got us up whilst integrating players from outside the premier league who need time to get use to the pace. I guess dennis is still the exception there as he is premier league ready.

I hope it is the latter - what I would say is that injuries to mangala and niakhate has not helped as clearly cooper saw them as first choice.

But I agree that this will be coopers biggest test in terms of picking players up, establishing a harmony in the squad and bringing the players into that. It would be a huge challenge for any manager, let alone a relative novice at this level.

Brennan is literally playing the same position that he played the entirety of last season. He's also played in the same role for Wales but you know better than both of them right?

Maybe....... completely unfounded, just throwing it into the mix......maybe Steven Reid had a much bigger influence than previously recognised? He was a specialist in the mental side, correct? Would we have capitulated with him still here??
