My only concern is that could be morale smashing and look desperate. I recall hughton making massive changes in his last match and it backfired horrendously. He just came across as having lost the plot.

Throwing out a whole new team virtually sends out those 'desperate' vibes. He will need all his managerial experience and more to get the next side right

Still really annoyed about yesterday.. 1st half wasn't great from either team but we at least looked comfortable and good value to be 2-0 up. That 2nd half though... players stopped playing (some where much worse than others) and cooper just watched it happen.. god knows what McKenna was thinking at the end there. The team had been sloppy all half and you just felt that sort of c**k up was coming. It definitely seems worse because of who the opponent was..

I thought I'd have come to terms with it by now but this will hust hang over us until the next game. It was such a terrible result and completely avoidable.

So for the first Lingard puts in a powder puff challenge whilst Kouyate strolls back without a care in the world. The second from the corner we give their player on the far post who nodded it back acres of space, Cook marking fresh air and the 3rd Mckenna makes a rare c**k up.

What an absolute shit show of a second half and unfortunately a lot of the criticism needs to be laid at Cooper.

It was evident at 2-1 that changes needed to be made. The midfield pair both needed subbing, Yates was chasing shadows and Kouyate lost some mobility after picking up his knock.

Both should have come off for Freuler and O’Brien before we lost control of the game, which is what happened.

No disrespect to Colback, who did ok when he came on, but we needed someone to carry the ball through the middle third to bring the front three back into the game.

I’ve said before that he will be sacked by Christmas if the results aren’t there. I’ve revised that and think it will be November in all honesty. Coops needs to learn and learn quickly, I really hope he does but certain aspects yesterday concerned me as to whether he can / will.

It’s pretty evident that the front three doesn’t work, none of them are exempt from criticism. However the bigger issue is the space between them and the midfield. It was reminiscent of how we set-up under Steve McLaren and, if the ball doesn’t stick then the opposition gain thirty yards unopposed albeit Kouyate was excellent yesterday in stemming some of that flow.

The other issue is the three centre halves. I’m not going to single any of them out because all three were frankly not good enough and each played a part in how we conceded at times. It’s clear that changes need to be made, none of this “next man up” bullshit because someone isn’t available.

Final word to Neco Williams who was royaly shafted second half. He had no help from the midfield/centre halves when defending, often being left two on one and when he was able to get forward he had no support or overlap.

Poor show Forest, if we don’t improve, and improve quickly the Championship will be calling.

I'm not just talking about this game. Big mistakes, gets caught for pace, poor positioning sense. 

His head visibly dropped yesterday, I saw it. I was watching him after he blamed others for his f**k up.

Singling players out is always gonna spark a reaction  and I'm glad it does but I won't budge from the fact he needs to sort his shit out or he's on the bench.

He was the one who said he would be happy to leave the club because he wanted Prem football, he thought he could play at this level. Well I hope Cooper is willing to drop him because ww want to stay in the Prem.

The defence was borderline solid last season it's now our weakest area.


Formation is a bit of a problem as well, BJ should be on the wing, we should have a striker which means dropping Lingard. I don't think he had a bad first half to be fair but I am not convinced with this system.

Admittedly the loss of Niakhate and Mangala is a huge blow right now

I think Colback was seen as straight swap for Kouyate. Seeing as we were already chasing the game at that point I thought a poor decision.

They are chalk and cheese. 

In the first half Kouyate didn’t play a ball back to the centre halves.

I'm not going after the players following that second half, although I really would like to in regards Lingard.

Irrespective of this and McKenna obvious error, Cooper has been out-thought tactically by a rookie caretaker.

Once they had made the switch you could see they were well on top and yet Cooper did nothing to address this. Its very worrying that Lingard appears undropable when essentially he's the same player / role as MGW. We are setup to get wide and cross but have no striker and we saw early doors in the friendlies how toothless that pans out.

Yeah agreed, hopefully this result is the kick to just play the best players available in a sensible formation and stick. Constantly rotating the CMs isn't going to help them gel. 

If he's gonna stick with this tactic he needs to find a way to make it work. It was a bit odd he didn't change it up second half when we were struggling.
