It's an update on how things are progressing.  Good news about the Academy site.

As for the Peter Taylor Stand.  It seems pretty obvious that 'traffic' was going to be a big issue in that neck of the woods.  You have an iconic ground in an urban area with congested traffic.  Negotiating this was always going to be tricky, logistically.  But if some environmental travel initiatives help get it over the line...

What about a Forest bus that takes you from the end of the tram line to the City Ground?

You'd have it all on biking it from Mansfield.  A pity the tram stops where it does.  It's still a decent walk from there to the City Ground.

There's already a free courtesy bus Strawbs. It goes from outside the train station to Trent Bridge and back again after the game. You just show your tram ticket.

I had heard a feasibility study has taken place to relocate from the city ground to the A453 near the new housing developments as a back up. Don’t want that to happen…

Good news about the training ground but Randall would be a perfect politician couldn’t he? “Wilford lane provides the ideal footprint”. In other words we tried to look for somewhere to relocate but couldn’t find anything affordable so we will shoehorn as much as possible into the space we currently have.

I thought Mari' was committed to the City Ground as the home of forest forever?

I wonder if the news of alternate sites is coming from the Academy side of things where they have been looking for alternate sites?

Isn't the Wilford site big enough?  Seems substantive to me.  

Why do they need a new site?  So they can put more training pitches on it?  (I'm not genned up on what the infrastructure requirements are for Academies other than an outdoor training pitch, indoor training pitch and a main building with canteen, gym, physio and video match review rooms.  Haven't they got all that?)

I look at Man City's training/academy complex and think, 'Does it really need to be all that?' How did Man City go on when they were in the 2nd division and didn't have any of that..? Seems overblown.

Is there any news on the planning application, it seems to have gone mighty quiet again, as an Upper BC stand ticket holder what is stopping the club from doing the improvements to the other stands?
The concourse is woefully inadequate with the crowd numbers at present, getting a child to the toilet at half time is quite scary for the youngster and getting a drink nigh on impossible. Also why not proceed with filling in the corner between BC and Trent End a la Brammal Lane, more seats and relatively cheap.
The powers that be stated at the start of the planning process that the rest of the ground needs a lot of work, then why not crack on whilst we are filling the stadium?

Our ground is beautiful but in need of some extensive work. I had heard that the plans for the Brian clough stand are quite extensive and include quite a large amount of remodelling behind the stand, roof and concourse areas. There is definitely a plan but could do with seeing some action.
The Peter Taylor stand is shocking for the most expensive tickets…

Nothing new on the planning portal for rushcliffe though did find that we’ve submitted revised plans for the academy buildings, with the main reasonings being our awarding of category one status and coops appointment and up turn in form of the first team and wanting to have a better base for the future with a nod to Leicester’s facilities as what can be done with good investment in what you can offer the youth.

The main change is the movement of the building to near the entrance of the site and losing half of the dedicated academy goalkeeper pitch, not sure how much to make into that as it wasn’t a full sized pitch anyway so maybe they’re only using half anyway? Lots of new parking to (hopefully it pleases the locals)

Not sure that will be the case.

If the Taylor stand gets closed at any point during next season there will be room elsewhere in the ground to relocate the ST holders currently located in the PT Stand on a temporary basis.

The capacity of the ground, excluding the PT stand is 24300. which is more than the number of ST holders we currently have.
