You would have thought that McKenna would have been glued to Dyakes all game?
McKenna's a big lad. Should have been 'on that.'

I’ve watched it back on Sky and they were both clear pens. Not sure what game Lee Hendrie was watching but it seemed like had an anti NFFC bias because the studio at half time were unequivocal in their thoughts that they were both pens.
I can’t help but feel we have lost our attacking threat from our two full backs compared to how they were earlier in SCs reign. I can’t put my finger on why but the number of goals they were involved with compared to now, there is a marked change?
I didn’t really feel the subs worked for us this time but this Team doesn’t seem to give up.
I have to say that I’m really beginning to turn into a big fan of Steve Cooper, the way he talks, what he demands and his mentality are all excellent.
I really hope he is given the proper tools to have a crack at making a push for the top six come January.
QPR were there for the taking.
Forest seemed more the top 6 side out of the two. But Forest are still digging their way out of the hole the 1st 7 games put them in.
Overall, a great start to a journey with a coach that has delivered a new, sweeping Forest 'Way' of playing that respects 'our' heritage and demands more accountability of its Forest players.
The improvements to Yates (see build up work for goal last night) and Colback (scorer) are note worthy.
The test was always going to be sides like Fulham and QPR. One packed with Premier riches and the other much further down the road with their manager and team development.
I'd say Forest could close the gap with Fulham with 2-3 (maybe 4) good signings in January and on last night's performance have closed the gap and eclipsed QPR. Remarkable considering how much time Warburton has had with them and how he has added players.
If we'd had Dyckes? We'd have buried them.

I am 100% sure the team will go to another level once Januarys transfer business has been concluded (assuming we get our targets). I am putting it out there now (so please check back at the end of the season) that we WILL make the play-offs, anybody's game from that point then!
Got to say I fancy us too. Best not to think about it!

One game at a time. My neurotic baseless and totally ridiculous superstitious side has already placed all of the blame for the Fulham result on various posters talking about possible playoffs/ next 6 games etc...I even felt guilty buying my Reading tickets so early (due to only 2200 available). Not picking them up though till week of the game to try and negate.
Sheffield Utd on Tuesday....nothing else.
Or am I proper losing it PSS style?(no offence)
Sorry Zico but ive got a feeling. I'll not mention it again.
Not my place to tell people what to mention ot nor mention. Don't be dragged into my stupidness.
Truth is simple if we play well (with current bonus of being easy on the eye) and get a bit of luck with injuries/decisions it can only lead to good outcomes and good feelings.
I was gutted last week when we got stuffed and was worried that we'd just had a new manager bounce and that was that. But last night, the way we took the game to them was inspirational. We really go for teams now. Qpr had to switch their formation to deal with our threat and they still struggled for 2 thirds of the game to contain us. We're top 6 material believe me.

Zicorice, the transformation has started, we look good in parts and you can see progression as well as glaring faults still to be resolved. But after so many years away from the big time and I can remember those days well we can but dream that just something may just be starting to unfold at Forest, still early days I would agree. If the fans can be positive and believe this may be possible then this could transform over to the players on the pitch, it becomes self perpetuating. Be positive man!

In the 70's the Dutch international team played " Total football " The likes of Cruyff and Neeskens would charge forward as a team. I can't remember what their formation was, but I remember they scored a shed load of goals. Some goals were conceded, but their overall emphasis was on attack. Even the great Cloughy's Forest would hit teams on the break and stifle the opposition. I have never seen Forest play so expansively as in the last 4 weeks or so. Its early days, but I believe we could be in for a new era of football. Great teams are never built overnight, but if we continue with the current philosophy embraced by SC,
and make more transfer aquisitions in line with what we need to bolster our philosophy and be more prolific in the goal scoring department, then we may have an exciting footballing future for this great club. To paraphrase SC " We are Nottingham Forest "

Believe me I am very positive and get 100% behind the lads spending stupid amounts of money in the process.....but strictly on a "one game at a time" basis... :)

I'm a shambles, I admit. Last nights performance resurrected my belief. I was worried after the Fulham game that people were overlooking the result just beacuse we were playing Fulham. I thought we might be fading. After watching last nights game, there's early no need to worry, play offs it is. Cooperman's got this.

Must say it’s enjoyable to see McKenna run into the opponents half with the ball without much fear, I imagine he was told by CH never to pass the 6 yard box!

I think it is possibly the other way around. Many were looking too much on the result and not the performance because we didn't play that badly. We were the best team in the first half and were a bit unlucky in the second half. I believe on another day we should/could possibly have won it. We are on a good run right now and the scary ting is that we will only get better.
