Felt like two points dropped to me.
I’ve watched it back on Sky and they were both clear pens. Not sure what game Lee Hendrie was watching but it seemed like had an anti NFFC bias because the studio at half time were unequivocal in their thoughts that they were both pens.
I can’t help but feel we have lost our attacking threat from our two full backs compared to how they were earlier in SCs reign. I can’t put my finger on why but the number of goals they were involved with compared to now, there is a marked change?
I didn’t really feel the subs worked for us this time but this Team doesn’t seem to give up.
I have to say that I’m really beginning to turn into a big fan of Steve Cooper, the way he talks, what he demands and his mentality are all excellent.
I really hope he is given the proper tools to have a crack at making a push for the top six come January.

It was a really good game of football and I really enjoyed it.
Lots of positives to take from the game and for me the only disappointment was Lowe who was guilty of ball watching for the goal and got easily outdone by Dykes.

Positives
-Good point away, great point in circumstances.
- 1st half football was impressive.
- Colback and Yates continue to be superb together.
- Attitude mentality and effort faultless.
-Positive subs as is now the norm.
-Sold out away end on a Friday night on TV-incredible.
-Joe Lolley was outstanding ran himself into the ground too.
-Spence is some player with unreal athleticism.
-Was hard not to enjoy the game even if we hadn't got the deserved equaliser.
-That feeling of pride of what we are watching is back after a couple of years of hard watching.
-Should still be top of away attendance averages after 1500 at Brizzle and almost 3k last night. Shame only 2200 allowed at Reading as I fancy we could sell 4k for that on a Saturday.
Negatives
-Final ball was mostly not quite right today.
-Set pieces were mostly woeful.
-The goal came just after our own corner.
-Ref was not very good. With VAR 2 definite pens. With naked eye one stonewall. ,(Spence one only clear when I saw it in replays on TV).
-McKenna was superb in front of Steve Clark so will continue risking injury being dragged away on international duty with the Jocks.
Tough game Tuesday thats for sure. You reds.

The point about full backs could be two factors
A) opposition managers adjusting tactics to counter threat and/or
B) quality of opposition generally being tougher over past couple games compared to first few fixtures

I suspect most managers have done their homework against us now and try to neutralise the fullbacks attacking, particularly the diagonal ball to them out of defence which we were finding ridiculously easy against Barnsley and Birmingham. To be honest thought Lowe was poor last night all round, schooled by an 88 year old Adomah. Spence was better and probably deserved MOM simply on the back of the last ditch tackle that prevented their 2nd.
The final ball is another matter and many guilty of that, interesting Sky picked up on how often that was the case with Brennan, pointing out how many excellent positions he got into which he mostly wasted.
Still we are a work in progress, more positives than negatives again.

Agree with most of the points posted by my fellow trickies on the game last night. I am 100% sure the team will go to another level once Januarys transfer business has been concluded (assuming we get our targets). I am putting it out there now (so please check back at the end of the season) that we WILL make the play-offs, anybody's game from that point then!

Bit harsh on Lowe Sniff. Dykes' movement was excellent for the goal and the quality of the cross did us.

Put this on the other thread. Thought Mckenna should have picked Dykes up, Lowe went to protect the back post but yes it was a smart move. However I thought Lowe had a poor game all round, should be said he has been good up until now.

Both id say. Warburton changed his formation last night apparently to deal with us.

I too thought Lowe had a bad game. When the teams were announced and saw Adomah playing right wing back I thought Lowe would have him on toast but it ended up the other way around. Always liked uncle Albert who was poorly treated here!

Sky went hard in on Brennan last night for the quality, ot lack of, his final ball. It was harsh I felt because generally this season he had put some beauty's in. Just wasn't going for him last night.
