No humble pie for me JL. My view is Vrentzos was probably not as bad as most were making out and Dane is probably not the new messiah that most seem to think he is.

Everything about the club is seen by fans though the optics of results.

To add to that, the mistakes of previous years cannot solely be blamed on one person and things that may be going better now arent simply down to one person coming in.

Having said that, Pap there is more to it than recent results, its the reasons behind it. In my opinion last seasons team was incapable of playing the sort of football we saw yesterday and Hughton wouldnt have allowed them to play that way regardless.

To be fair to Hughton, he didnt have the 2 current wing backs to pick so I have a bit of sympathy for his view that he didnt have the players to play 3 at the back. But I agree, even if he did, his side would not be performing like this one currently is.

By the way I would like to add that Vrentzos played a huge roll in choosing his successor (Dane) so I would like to say a big well done to him for that.

No Sniff, you must be mistaken.

But Lowe was shit, Spence was shit and it was obvious that Vrentzos was still involved and pulling all the strings and Dane was ready to quit right?

I dont personally recall anyone saying that Sniff, I think you got the 2 signings that were questioned on deadline day wrong, they are spelt Drager, who you said we were looking at long before Dane arrived I recall, and Silva who has the same agent that we have used repeatedly under Vrentzos, so a slight difference but keep banging that drum  :D

And currently neither have contributed.

I see so good signings made last window were down to Dane and shit ones were down to Vrentzos. That's ok it fits most peoples agenda so we will leave it there.

Does it really f*****g matter? Seriously?

The bottom line is, no matter who was responsible for signing whichever player, they were going to be shit under the previous manager. As we now know, it was his poor management of players, formations and an unhealthy 'no change at all costs attitude' that left us stuck at the bottom of the league.

Fast forward a few weeks and we now have a new more modern approach manager, that has, for the first time in a long time, given us attacking, entertaining, free flowing football, he has given the players a new found belief and has instilled a new confidence in them that we haven't seen in a good couple of seasons. He has also united the fanbase amongst themselves and with the team also. We are climbing the table and we are now talking about getting into the play offs instead of being relegated with Derby.

What has happened has happened now. It has gone. We have moved on, we are progressing. Look to the future and what that could bring, not to the past and the mistakes that brought.

I was just pointing out the facts for debate mate. Ensuring the right 2 players were listed and discussed. You got them wrong. That is all.
