The football so far has been awful however we need to stick with a manager for a sustained period of time. Let him have an actual team to work with and the football will improve enormously.

Yeah. Overall it's not been great.

But there have been moments where Garner scored some great goals. The brace that Murray got were good. There's been some intricate play with Christie and others last season. We have had wins with more than 1 goal.

Just too many draws. But until he's allowed to bring in his own team we're just left with the shell of a team following the imposing of Sabri's recruitment window.

Until we address the underlying cause of that on field problem, it's a cop out to blame the manager. It's hard to play free flowing when your team is limited.

Dougie faced the same dilemma. You keep it tight. It's dull. You got forward? You're picked off and lose 1 nil. You gallop forward with abandon? You'll lose by more. You had mediocre players who wouldn't or couldn't listen.

And you solve that with recruitment.

How can Hughton be on the hook for two ageing strikers when we needed to splash the cash on a striker way back when Sabri was 1st here. Grabban arrived under Aitor? What are we doing with strikers that have long since peaked with their legs going. That's not on Hughton.

This is the third match I have attended this season and I really cannot see how he is going to turn this around, even if he had got all of the supposed players in that he wanted we would still see the same outcome, if he is still here come Saturday we will see Derby beat us for the first time in how long.

We really have hit rock bottom and for the good of the club he needs to be sacked now, not later before it gets any worse than it has already but now, enough is enough, I thought that when we played Stoke that was the worst game I had ever witnessed, but after tonight's humiliation I can't see how he will improve us, I was however impressed by some of the young uns and with the right man in charge and with the owner backing that man we could have a great future, but that's wishful thinking on my behalf.

The longer this shifts how goes on the more damaging it becomes. I for one can not understand why the owner has chosen to ignore this. We have been in far better positions and seen him remove managers.

Or does he just not care anymore.

The only way I can see us beating derby is if CH has gone.

the time to of got rid was at the end of last season, but that would make the vast majority on here wrong, if 40 games of sameness wasn't enough how many do you need to make your mind up?

a more positive sharing among those on the inside would of been very strong suggestions to Hughton to focus on our players 2, 3 maybe 4 games from the end of last season

the end of a campaign needs to start becoming the start of a new campaign, preparations for this season should of been well under way months ago

it is obvious who our players are and if in doubt check there contracts, those players are the basis of NFFC

maybe Hughton is a good fit here because he is totally a reactionary manager, no point criticising the guy because we have a too little too late philosophy here epitomised by Hughton, he's probably the perfect candidate, never argues, awesome at papering over cracks and the calmest most dignified loser we have ever had

we are a dinosaur club, slow to adapt to change, ponderous planning, slow response to change or needs, a 'crisis what crisis' club, give Hughton another 3 year contract

To be fair he has bored the life and soul out of me for 12 months now. Imagine being a footballer playing under him. I'd find that even tougher.

Maybe someone should point out to him that Holt bored the living daylights out of me when he played for us. He couldn't trap a bag of cement. Him playing in a Forest shirt was the epitome of how low we'd sunk in those 3rd division days.
