In summary we are in deep…….
So, Dane's been here 2 months.
What's he done in that time? What is he doing? He came in with a lot of fancy talk. And that's all it is so far.
LB?
CH?
Striker?
Ball playing CM?
Probably the worst start to Summer recruitment since Mark Arthur.
Other teams are getting players in. Shocking recruitment window.
SA.
CH has been here a year. Had 2 shots on target in that time.
How many outfield signings has Hughton signed last Summer and this?
SA.
what I’m trying to say is look at the whole picture. I can’t blame a man who’s been here 2 months. The blame here for me is 2 targets. 1 the manager, if you can’t get a team to at least have a go we are in trouble. 2. The owner. Yes I’m thankful he’s bankrolling the club in these times. But he’s invisible and on the pitch it’s mistake after mistake. The one good thing is we have seemingly changed approach with the new set up. I just hope it pays off. I believe the targets are taking time because they are players either other clubs want or they want to keep. Instead of signing 70 players people are happy we have taken off their hands.
Yes you can. His job is to get quality players in. His 'go slow' has thrown Hughton under a bus. We have a bare assed, make shift team. What have Forest done all Summer?
I'm not a high paid CEO and I knew Forest narrowly avoided relegation. Garner and Krov' were a massive part of that close escape.
Have we replaced them this Summer? No.
So the implication is we're going down without players.

The away fans were outstanding.

I just feel a sense of resignation.
The personnel were different but we set up in the only way we could with such weakness at full back positions. Todays result was always going to happen. By not signing anyone the club accepted that they wpuld get a defeat today before a ball was kicked.

We (humans) have a habit of focusing on what people can't do, or mistakes people make, and ignore all the good. Samba has a lot of good, he takes positive action so often, prevents chance even occurring a lot of the time.
Hell ya'!!! too right bro, i feel ya, there's almost an unwritten law guiding this forum that a player makes a mistake he is useless, makes 2 mistakes he's a disgrace and 3 mistakes he ain't and never has bin fit to wear the shirt
Players make mistakes, life ain't fair, some players have relatively little to do, some have absolute wizz kid buzzing around them all afternoon, ideally we need players who learn from mistakes, because let's face it folks
I think if the players are putting in effort we gonna have to settle for that for the time being, if they are helping each other out and ultimately trying to make good things happen, well yee haa!!
Two bloody good posts.

Needed a drink before doing this: as always starting with The:-
Positives.
-The away fans, different class. If we ever actually become a decent team then the roofs will be coming off all over the Country.
- We only conceded 1 goal.
- Gardens all over Stoke needed the rain.
-Back and Zink were OK.
-There is no doubt that every player gave 100% effort to the cause...even if its a lost one at present....
Negatives
- We can't pass from A to B, confidence looks shot to bits already.
- CH shook it up with a few changes, but we still looked pretty poor.
- We don't have option to mix it up again.
- 0 shots on target, we are THAT bad.
Even a cocky arrogant sod like Knockaert would be welcome at the moment or no end product merchants like Krovinivic. We look so devoid of confidence.
Being thrown into game like this will invariably raise .

My only argument with this is that CH changed it up. He didn't.
He may have changed personal but the system was the same. The tactics were the same. The subs were the same like for like subs.
Nothing changed from the previous 3 games.
We could have Messi out there and, with that set up and those tactics, we would still lose.
What would have been a positive sign would have been if he had gone with 1 cdm.

If we had Messi out there I suspect we'd have probably won :D

Fairly balanced, as always, Zicorice. Look forward to your post match pros and cons.
