Horvath has largely been a career No.2. I didn't see anything in the Bradford game to make me think he should be starting. If Samba let that free-kick in he'd have been savaged, and me made a right meal of one right into his hands.
Samba has made mistakes, he will make more in the future, like all 'keepers do. But his all-round game is excellent, he makes a lot of good saves.
We (humans) have a habit of focusing on what people can't do, or mistakes people make, and ignore all the good. Samba has a lot of good, he takes positive action so often, prevents chance even occurring a lot of the time.
Horvath will play vs Wolves, so we'll have another chance to assess him, but he didn't show enough to say he should be starting to me.
On the other hand, the ability to avoid making too many big mistakes is of much higher priority compared to other positions. A keeper error is pretty costly, even if he does add value elsewhere. The Cov game surely was a classic example.
I'm not saying Horvath is any better mind, no idea. In terms of career no 2s, martinez was that before he moved to Villa so showed its possible

Hell ya'!!! too right bro, i feel ya, there's almost an unwritten law guiding this forum that a player makes a mistake he is useless, makes 2 mistakes he's a disgrace and 3 mistakes he ain't and never has bin fit to wear the shirt
Players make mistakes, life ain't fair, some players have relatively little to do, some have absolute wizz kid buzzing around them all afternoon, ideally we need players who learn from mistakes, because let's face it folks
I think if the players are putting in effort we gonna have to settle for that for the time being, if they are helping each other out and ultimately trying to make good things happen, well yee haa!!

Cue Figgy hoofing it to no-one upfront, completely bypassing midfield & Carvs getting slaughtered for not doing enough to get in the game

Wow... this is boring. We may not be losing but holy crap it’s so hard to watch. We are not creating anything. Back one of the few positives so far.

It is boring but I was expecting us to get smashed so I'll take boring.
Of course there's still plenty of time for us to get smashed lol

Forest holding their own, nothing between the teams. Not much goalmouth action although Stoke slightly on top.
Impressed with Back, first time I’ve seen him. Taylor anonymous, not getting any service. Bong looking to get forward. Mighten doing more defensive work than getting forwards, I don’t get all the praise he gets, looks pretty ordinary to me. Let’s hope he proves me wrong. Yates and Cafu looking better than Colback pairing. Forest defending from their own halfway line, no outlet when they get possession. Not a bad performance so far.
