I suggest you look last summer, there was plenty of comments like that when I suggested Forest should get him, one of my favourites at the time if he was any good why is he playing for Barnsley.

Because Barnsley bought him when he was 22 after being released by Leeds. They have a policy of snapping up promising youngsters that have been overlooked. It worked well with Mowatt but its not a policy that guarantees success but there was at least a plan in place there which is more than we have had until recently. Thats why we got their CEO.

Even so if he was that good 1) He wouldnt have been released by Leeds and 2) He would have had much better clubs to go to than Barnsley and 3) Barnsley wouldn't have sent him out to Oxford(?) On loan.

You can't deny going from Leeds to Barnsley to Oxford suggests a player is struggling to find a higher level in his game.
