Maybe that was a mistake, maybe not but I'm unconvinced that had a lasting impact for the entire season.
However the hangover from the previous year and mas influx of bodies will have done.
For me the bit that seems to constantly get conveniently overlooked is that we lost our best two players (cash and Watson) plus probably our next best 3-4 players to injury for the majority of the first half of the season (Worrall, Grabban, Lolley, Sow). Add to that the replacement Colback immediately getting injured along with another big signing in Freeman. We didn't exactly have a great hand to play with.
Yes Sabri was sacked after 4 games having to put up with all that.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)

This is worrying. Having had Covid myself just a few weeks ago despite being double jabbed I can tell you it’s not nice. Tried to play 5 a side last night and had to go in goal after 5 minutes. I can see this decimating our squad and fear for us and n the early weeks of the season.

It's been said on another thread that three players have tested positive. Hopefully that's all it is and they're not key ones.

Mansfield Town’s friendly with Nottingham Forest under-23s at The RH Academy, scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled.
Instead, the teams will play a private training match behind-closed-doors at The Nigel Doughty Academy.
As this is now a training match with no media access, unfortunately there will be no match coverage.

I mean it gives Mansfield a better calibre of friendly opponent and gives us much needed minutes, hopefully it signifies no spread throughout the squad if they’re willing to come to our academy and willing to play our first team squad if that’s the case

Do you think we’ll get any idea what happened at the training match?
