It works in gov't all the time, look at yesterday with the latest u-turn. To be clear I'm not saying EM wouldn't have necessarily come to the same conclusion, there's obviously no way of knowing (Unless you go for a beer with EM...) It's likely it sped up the process, even if it advanced it 6 months, might be the difference between keeping Brennan and getting Dane to join. As I said above, I praise all parties in this outcome, this isn't a DT love in post (also don't forget poor Tails too!). We got the best outcome by the looks of it, I'm happy to see that if things are wrong that there are people that will call it out. I bet if there was equivalent inside reporting at certain other clubs nearby they might not have got into the state they're in. I mean without investigative journalism we'd still have Matt Hancock... :D (hopefully not as CEO)

There has certainly been a groundswell of opinion around certain areas which the club seems very keen to address now. Firstly around communication, the CEO has given an interview on his first day. Second around recruitment and an agreement that there needs to be better and with a proper plan.
Did journalism contribute to that or was it just bleedin’ obvious to all? Not sure. By the way most of the critical articles on the Athletic were joint between Paul and Daniel Taylor. One or two others chipped in with a few digs over the years too. Change was needed, the club seems to have listened, heres to a brighter future.

Unfortunately it says not purchasable in this country when you try to buy for the UK. Their European website seems to allow it for some European countries though. (It’s 77 euros, so you pay a bit extra to not have the sponsor).

Ideagen do highly complex software stuff ... they really should have a word with the ticket office/marketing/sales ... in fact put there logo all over those places, as it is the club seems almost anti sales, anti revenue and anti marketing ... so someone suggests ... when a fan gives you there email ... save it, along with postcode, preferences, most will agree to all the cookies on the website .. and the club will soon realise they could of doubled there revenue for half the effort (or if the club just want to save effort .. change the ticket office message to .. ''we don't really want you to buy tickets but if you insist stay on the line or visit our impossible to navigate/out of date online purchasing''
The club really should talk to someone who knows how to sell games, streams and shirts, like pinging out bespoke emails to potentially 200,000 global customer base, all happy to spend 20 quid on summat far more frequently than the club realise, they could of pinged out 1000 texts to fans within 20 miles of Northampton an hour before the game and filled the stadium. Sorry but i feel the club are actually trying to drive fans away.

Nottingham Forest have created an innovative new catering partnership with Levy UK+I for the long-awaited return of supporters for the new season.
Levy, the sports and hospitality sector of the Compass PLC, is a market leading provider of food and drink experiences at world class venues including Wimbledon, The O2 and Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. Levy will deploy innovative technology at The City Ground such as digital screens and cashless tills in concourses to significantly improve the service for supporters. The partnership will see the club benefit from Levy’s expertise on culinary creativity and community sourcing. Levy will partner with local caterers, providing supporters with a wider variety of tastes and flavours provided by local caterers and entrepreneurs. This will also thereby further the club’s commitment to local businesses and to providing employment and apprenticeship opportunities. Importantly, Levy’s investment in the club’s catering operations will benefit both general admission and hospitality guests. As a key feature of the partnership, Levy will also manage the club’s conference and events operations on non match-days, enhancing and extending the club’s offering and building deeper relationships with all businesses in the area. David Cook, Nottingham Forest Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This is an important milestone in the club’s efforts to improve its offering on matchdays and throughout the week. “We chose to work with Levy not only because of their clear track record in delivering legendary matchday food and beverage experiences and industry-leading innovation, but also because they share the values and beliefs that are at the heart of everything we do at Nottingham Forest. “Partnerships such as this with Levy provide a platform to deliver new fan experiences now and also in the redeveloped City Ground. Jon Davies, Managing Director of Levy UK+I, said: “After a trying season for football clubs and fans, we are thrilled to be partnering with Nottingham Forest to support them in bringing the very best in food and beverage experiences to The City Ground. “Together, we will build on Forest’s existing philosophy of providing a phenomenal matchday experience to every fan, while enriching and supporting the local community in everything we do. “A big focus in our work will be to support and nurture local food and hospitality talent in Nottingham and promoting the professional development and welfare of everybody we work with. “We’ll be working closely with Nottingham Forest to bring a fresh, modern approach to food and drink, whether it’s for matchdays or conferences and events. We are confident that we will give fans yet another reason to look forward to returning to City Ground in the 2021-22 season.”
