Ryan Yates

Well said Yatesy.

^exactly right, anyone who puts too much weight on what some nameless person on t'internet says should stay off t'internet.

Have to say my biggest gripe about Yates has been his positioning play and heading. However i'm very pleased to see that he slowly learning that part of the game and as he gets better at it he is coming more effective in games. Still young and still a lot to learn but he is going the right way. Long may it continue even if he does have bad games and frustrates me at that point in time i still feel he will become a big player for us.

Amen. Forest benefit from his belief and will to win.

Timing of runs and getting better at headers? In time.

That accomplished goal v. Millwall. Class.

More to come from Yates.

Future Forest Captain.

Yates has really kicked on lately. He was really good at Millwall and probably MoM in that game. I have no doubt that he is currently CH's first choice midfielder.

I also want to say that I find it really, really sad that a 19+ footballer should have to take all the beating and foul language thrown at them from fans on social media. It's good that Yates has a strong mentality but I bet there are many who don't and get a real knock from these bastards. Sorry, but there is no excuse for doing it.

That’s not just footballers subjected to that kind of heat, no one is really immune to it on social media and there are people less fortunate or capable than Ryan in dealing with it that it has a far serious impact.

maybe a few of his doubters will soon start to realise what young Ryan actually brings to our team

Haven't we just  :D

Because no one else will ever want him  :) :) :)

I dont get this yates hate thing... every manager we have had in recent seasons has playrd him. Is her perfect... No but still developing.

Surely the concern is that we still havent signed anyone. We are desperate for strikers, wingers, attacking midfielders and with less than 6 weeks to go we have a squad capable of relegation.

Yes we may have a decent defensive base but as last season showed, without the goals we are shot. Thw club need to get a move on. Can see the excuses now... players need timw to settle in etc... we need a good start or the pressure will be on.

Thanks Uwantlee - I was just about to post something similar. And GreenMan, Yates will play in the Premier League. He has both the necessary drive and the talent to do that.
