No way would they have gone to press if this wasn’t happening

In an ideal world that would be the case.

Barnsley will no doubt though put up a good fight and do everything in their power to persuade him to stay. Hopefully they will fall short in their efforts.

All sounds very positive, interesting to see if this happens whether he does try and instigate a similar a approach to Barnsley in terms of philosophy. Long term CH may require to tweak his strategy slightly...

Think CH might need to make more than a slight tweak to fit with this regime. Im just being a bit mischievous its quite possible a change of manager follows shortly after. There has been quite a revolution behind the scenes, wonder if we havent seen the last of it yet.

Ha yeah agreed, I doubt they'll change now though, seems a waste of money plus we've already invested time in transfer targets for him.

Maybe this'll be the making of him!

You can be sure that if this guy commences work in July he will have little impact on our transfers during this window.

Our target list for this season will have been drawn up three months ago; I would be amazed if we are not very close to making signings.

The players report back in early July; Hughton will want a large part of next seasons squad there for all of the training.

The last thing he will need is a bad start to the season.

CH is the manager and surely he will decide in which manner the team plays.

Are we saying that it's OK now for the CEO to interfere in team matters? Vrentzos was slaughtered for supposedly doing that.

I still think a lot of the criticism of CH is a bit unfair. I honestly don't think he has a particular style as such but think he is pragmatic and sets his team up to play to it's strengths. He was able to have teams in the Champ play very attacking football when they had better attacking players than the majority of other teams and when they got promoted he went more defensive because he believed that was their best way of staying up, which they subsequently did.

I hope and believe that if CH is provided with some really exciting attacking players, we would very quickly see a more advanced setup and score plenty of goals.

The CEO sounds like a potentially good move and some of the linked players sound interesting too. I can't imagine that all these things have been leaked about the CEO while he's still at Barnsley without it being highly likely to happen to be honest. It's almost at the stage where his position there is untenable now anyway due to the links. They either need to come out and completely quash the rumours or announce it's happening very soon.

I would be more confident if Percy or Adonis had tweeted it.

Lets hope that this is not another steaming pile of bull shit like 'we haven't applied and won' be getting cat 1 academy'. 'The plans for a new stand are just a smokescreen'. 'Ribeiro will never play for us again' (He did many times). 'Olympiakos are cherry picking our best players'. (Really I must have missed that).

I hope he's right this time and we manage to get Dane Murphy because I'm excited by it but like I said earlier Barnsley are not just going to roll over and not put up a fight to persuade him to stay.

Think you have exaggerated a few of those quotes Sniff. For what its worth both DT and PT put their names to the article. PT tends to be far more cautious in his comments but said he “firmly expects this to be done and dusted early in July”.

I understand players back on 28th June. First friendly is on (or around) 10th July

Great write up on the bloke

Likes to sign young players who can make the first team near enough straight away, none of this tried and tested old last pay day bollocks.

Likes to use head coache so its easier for recruitment, i gather less arguments about players

Likes coaches to use the gegenpressing approach

Will hughton be up or around for all this?

Or will we see a completely new approach all together this summer.. hes been brought in for all this hes done at barnsley, CEO sorts and sacks managers we have seen this with vrenetoz, so if EM does give him complete control its going to be a interesting summer

Nope. That's what he said.

Anyway I don't want to start all that again so I will leave it there.
