New CEO Is Dane Murphy - Widdow - 12-06-2021 See Barnsley chief executive Dane Murphy has emerged as a contender to take the same role at Nottingham Forest. Sounds like he would be a great fit and a positive appointment imo. RE: Potential new CEO? - Paplane - 12-06-2021 Announce Mowatt RE: Potential new CEO? - Paplane - 12-06-2021 Seriously though, sounds like a decent appointment. An outsider, not an Oly appointment or anything. It's hard to criticise EM at the moment. RE: Potential new CEO? - Marinakis Red - 12-06-2021 Very imaginative and forward thinking CEO. I'd be delighted with this. Only reported in the post right now, so need some more concrete, but hope it is true. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 13-06-2021 Sounds good. I didn't know who Dane Murphy was but having read about him it sounds like he's just what we need. RE: Potential New CEO? - Salvatore Matrecano - 13-06-2021 This sounds extremely promising but before we get too excited can anyone confirm if the source of this info is credible? The only place I have seen it is the pile of clickbait bile that is the Nottingham Post. RE: Potential New CEO? - Salvatore Matrecano - 13-06-2021 Had a look on the Barnsley forum to see what they thought of him, there was a number of posts typical of how we are sadly viewed by many football supporters and a reply from someone who had some recent insight. Thought it was interesting and encouraging. “Bloody hope he doesn't leave, they're a headcase of an organisation. If you're reading Dane, continue the job wait for a proper big club. Not one living on past memories from a bygone era.” “I don’t think they are mate. I had a tour of the City Ground last week and commercially they’re very, very switched on. Haven’t cracked it yet but I think their big season will come soon. New owner refuses to invest everything in players, so off the pitch they’re looking stronger than in a long time. Would be a great job to get right now and definitely a promotion from us (sadly).” RE: Potential New CEO? - GaribaldiRED - 13-06-2021 Those last comments looks very promising. Thanks for sharing SM. But. Where has this rumor come from - any reliable source - anybody know? RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-06-2021 I don't know where the rumour came from but if there is any truth in it then I think it demonstrates that EM is evolving into a very good owner. Recently he's secured a cat 1 academy, submitted updated plans for the stadium, got Chris Brass onboard working with Hughton and Brazil and now he could be bringing in a new CEO. RE: Potential New CEO? - GaribaldiRED - 14-06-2021 Agree Sniff. Don't forget Stuttgart's Head of Analytics - George Syrianos. He should be announced soon according to Daniel Taylor. RE: Potential New CEO? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-06-2021 Yes Gari I knew I had forgot something. Some will say that EM is only correcting his own mistakes but I don't agree with that. Both Vrentzos and Dourekas have done great work for EM in the past and they have been very successful as a trio so why wouldn't he show faith in them and give them a chance in England at Forest. Okay so it didn't work out but you can see why he did it in the first place and now to his credit he's changing it. I for one cannot criticise that. As for Dane Murphy I am quite positive this will happen (unless last minute goalposts are moved) I expect to hear some feedback early this week. I suspect this won’t be be the back of Vrentzos though, he will be based in Athens and overseeing Forest Operations. Let’s see, as they need to start cracking on the transfers. |
