Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager

Judging any manager on this shambles of a squad which Modesto & co lumbered us with isn't really fair. Looking at Hughton's signings
Garner - been fantastic, would love to see him back Krovi - been good, lacked goals but still done more than enough that I'd welcome him back Knockers - been hit & miss, but has done enough to say his loan has helped keep us well clear of relegation Murray - served a very valuable purpose, and scored some key goals in some key games to help keep us away from that relegation battle Good to say they were all signed on loan for £0 transfer fee and most in a tricky Jan window, I'm happy to see how Hughton can shape the squad before judging him. When you compare that to the toss loans such as Mir, Diakhaby etc. it's absolute night and day. Give Hughton the 20m which Modesto & Mendez spent on Carvalho, Soudani, Da Costa & Jenks and we'd have a FAR better squad here. This season reminds me of Davies' the season he kept us up. Given a bit of time & backing and we had our best set of back to back seasons in 20 years. Hopefully Hoots can do the same.

Looking at Hughton's signings Ugh I had forgotten Diakhaby existed! It's a fair point though, we did good business this window. under CH. He clearly is well liked within the game, even if we don't get Garner back we're well placed to get equivalent players like him. (08-05-2021, 04:17 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: Alf mi owd mucker. I've said it a few times now but if we can't get anywhere in this league with Chris Hughton at the helm, then we are in trouble. Outside of the shambolic 1st couple of months, we have looked very strong at the back. Missed chances though has cost us numerous points and I mean real sitters or "should at least hit the target" type chances this season, like never before. Yes there were spells in the season where we created very little, but some games, (like todays) we should have been out of site before dropping points. Not just a few games either, loads of them! Hard to pin that on the boss.

The only other ex manager with a similar win rate was Megson, who had over 15 games.
And he was given time as he had two promotions to the premier league on his cv and look how that turned out backing him?!
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)

Today's 1st half, saw more quality football played by Forest than in Megsons whole career at all his clubs together.
