1. The new stand is no smokescreen. We have spent 2m so far.
2. There are 170 or so non playing staff employed at the club.
3. We have applied for cat 1 academy and are also searching for a new academy site.
4. Randell and Owen are both still at the club.
5. No I didn't write the accounts.

6. The club loses shit loads of money.

I never doubted it but good to hear they are optimistic application will proceed this year.

2. There are 170 or so non playing staff employed at the club.

Not quite, there are 73 playing and 118 non playing staff. I dont see the relevance of this. If you mean the inference that IV was running the club by himself it doesnt prove that one way or the other, the vast majority of these will be retail, groundstaff, catering and coaching.

3. We have applied for cat 1 academy and are also searching for a new academy site.

Good to see this confirmed. Not sure if we are looking to relocate the entire academy (which would make sense as the current is prime residential space) or some additional space to run alongside the current site. Hopefully this is not a deal breaker for the current Cat 1 application if you can only apply every 3 years.

4. Randell and Owen are both still at the club.

Randall is because he signed off the accounts in February. The directors listed are only for the last finacial year so Owen could have left after April 20.

5. No I didn't write the accounts.

I can tell that! :)

So shall we have a sweepstake as to which player will be sold to help keep the lights on at the club?

I think it was on page 33 of the pdf SM. It clearly states the number of playing staff and non playing staff. If I remember well the non playing staff was 168, whatever they do doesn't really matter.

Good idea Sabri. Are you putting a prize up for grabs?

Yep probably. My point was actually trying to be a positive one. The owner pumps in shit loads of money. IMO in view of the type of people who have been circling around the sheep of late, we're damn lucky to have him as well. I just hope he keeps his interest up and isnt on the edge of cutting his losses and walking. How much longer can an individual continue to spunk millions and millions away before he decides Forest in the prem is an unrealistic ambition? 5 years would be my guess.

So what we saying here 2 more years and if we don't make it we are up for sale again?

Don't think so McForest. EM is no quitter. He'll get us there but it will take longer than he thought and it's a lot more difficult than he thought.

These accounts once again show the impossible situation owners of championship clubs are in. Dp you make a hefty loss each year or run the club closer to sustainability but then are unable to compete on wages. Wages spent being the main thing that drives success in general (sadly we're an outlier)

Just shows until someone fixes the ridiculous parachute payments system the championship will continue to be a mess and rely on crazy owners willing to bankroll 20+m losses each year!

Luckily for us so far our owner seems happy to do this but who knows how much he's willing to put up with. I hope once again it's clear how much they are forced to put in and whilst they maybe haven't spent that well over the time here, the commitment and willingness cannot be criticised
