At the end of the day, Oly are an impressive and competitive outfit. On and off the pitch. It doesn't happen by accident.
EM is their boss. Forest's faded glory will do well to get similar treatment and get that car buff treatment to make the brand sparkle again. The rewards for getting that world wide brand into the Premier are clear. EM doesn't suffer failure. And he doesn't like hearing the word no. who does..? EM's ruthlessness works in our favour over the long term. He'd do well to have the patience to stick with Chris, though. As both EM and Mr. V own this season. Though, to be fair, January was course correction and of Hughton's choices. And it's had an immediate and transformative impact on results and style of play. SA.

So my stand point is this mistakes made, been reviewed and they have made changes to hopefuly solve issues and then keep looking at club and make changes where needed. Don't see what is wrong with that.

They have made mistakes in recruitment.
But it's not for the want of trying. When the keystone of marrying the Academy to recruitment is realised this club will take off. The fruits from the Academy are obvious. Investment in the u23s is noteworthy. And recruitment this January has a far more progressive feel. I'm sure Gary's new role and Hughton's 1st full transfer window are not coincidences. This window has the hall marks of team effort with Hughton having the final say. SA.

The suffering for the inhabitants of the village of Damasi in Greece continues after the two big earthquakes that hit the area this week. Nottingham Forest owner Vangelis Marinakis has kindly donated to the earthquake-stricken victims 20 houses so they can be re-housed.

The real issue here is not Hughton, it’s the huge mis-management at boardroom level of player recruitment.
Almost 4 yrs since Marinakis took control. Off the pitch things have improved. On the pitch however it’s a shambles, we have signed 80 players and have no continuity. Every summer it’s a re-build job. How do you sign 80 players and end up with 3 strikers at 37, 33 and 30 ? We’ve got 4 left backs, of which none are good enough to get you into the top 6 that will be costing us 40-50k a week. We’ve got Arter, Bachirou, Sow and a Colback who are surplus to requirements - they are costing us around 60k a week. Our 13m record signing is pulling up no trees in the second tier of Spanish football. This is the real issue at NFFC not over how good or not Hughton is |
