What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy

Could be that he has turned in fantastic performances but the results have not come as a result (his stats on whoscored are pretty average though). The link was in the NEP.... Paul Taylor (I think) then went on to say Brazil was a fan of his in a conversation on Twitter.

It was OK, certainly better than last year, and will hopefully be good enough to keep us up. My concern is just that - for whatever reason - we still don't appear to be doing the right things.

I believe we are doing exactly what we should be doing. Bring in more to enhance our attack. One defensive midfielder with a good passing range, one creative midfielder in the #10 role, one experienced big striker and one tricky winger. What more would you have wanted?

I'd have liked us to have signed Whiteman for the bargain price of 1.5m, not just for the player but to show the club are backing the likes of Brazil I'd also have liked us to have signed another RB, or at least kept Darikwa to try him instead. I'm not saying it's a bad window, I think we might have done enough to stay up. But that's also not really a inspiring window which starts the ball rolling early for a promotion push to the Prem next year. It's just "meh".

Obvious to see again this window, we haven't got a Transfer strategy!

Ultimately though GariladiRed, we've not landed a player on our radar who very much fits the profile required to help us rebuild that much decimated first 11 core.
Simplest way I can explain it is that I think we've acted like a relegation side doing the right things to avoid relegation, rather than a potential Prem side currently in a relegation fight, but already getting it's shizzle together to mount a Prem promotion push next year. It's not bad, I am wishing for more than our position & standing deserve, but I'm doing that coz I want us to be top 6 next year. Not catching our breath recovering from this year, then building for another year, then maybe pushing on. Because that's a 2.5 year plan, and those plans don't get time here to flourish.

You make my point, what is the long term strategy in that? Could have used this window to look at players for next season as well, perhaps from League one, get them involved and know the direction going (and could be good for either the championship or if we go down), means less recruitment in the summer. As it is, there is going to be another mass turnover of players. I am also not sure they will be enough to save us from Relegation. Next two games are absolutely massive

Forest have lost once in the league in nine games before the new signings.
The new ACM shows early promise with assists and time on the ball. As did Knocker involved again in the nearly-goal action. We'll have to see if Garner and Murray can provide the missing pieces. I'm confident we have what is required when we can get Colback, Sow, Yates and Mckenna into that team. SA.

Long term in January, how does that work mate?
