I would abandon any thoughts of strengthening the squad.
Try to offload some that Hughton doesn’t fancy.
Clear the decks.
Save some cash.
Accept that survival is our only objective - we still have more than enough talent already at NG2.
Leave Johnson at Lincoln to further his education - unless of course Hughton would play him ( unlikely ).
Start planning now for the Summer window & next season.
None of the above will happen - Vrentzos, Modesto et al will continue to throw money ( probably at the wrong players ) & fans’ impatience wouldn’t allow for prudent planning.

If I was recruiting I would aim for 23 players in total 2 for each position and 3 goalies made up of experience youth and a few PL loans
And I would plan to do this on a 1 in 1 out basis hopefully only sign ones in that can improve the first 11
Come on you mighty Reds

We need something more up front, this wasn't properly addressed in the Summer and those responsible failed on that aspect, completely and utterly. It was something that was largely ignored last January when it was evident we needed something then too.
We don't need a Guerrero or a Mir, we need quality, someone who can justify Grabban being on the bench.
If funding is an issue then Olympiacos need to pay us £8m for Lolley so Marinakis and Co can show us that they are serious about us moving forward and have something to contribute rather than using our supply line of young talent to support their profligacy and mismanagement.

The owners win when we win. We win when the owners get it right.
I’m not asking for £10m. Not sure where that figure has come from. However if we didn’t spunk £13m(ish) of the Cash money on trash then they wouldn’t need to do it.
70ish signings since they’ve come in.
Fair has nothing to do with it. We play within the rules, simple as that. Lolley looks like he could do with a good break in Greece

Regardless of who or how much we won’t be competing for the top spots with the likes of Mir or Guerrero.
There’s nothing preventing us from selling (for example) Lolley to Olympiacos. I’m pretty sure that any transactions between the two are under scrutiny anyway.
Anyway it doesn’t matter. There will be no substantial cash injection unless the cupboard runs bare of young sellable talent.

Lolley for 7-8m could be argued is about right...12-18 months ago his value would have been 10-15m
