Winning / Losing football games is usually about fine margins. We were equal to Swansea for much of the game, but only 1 team took points. Players/Coaches/management have to admit now that we have problems. We have to stop kidding ourselves that we are a top 6 side.
Spot on OR. Who is putting us on the Top 6 pedestal though? Is it the fans, the media, or the club themselves?
Forest fans expectations are always high nowadays and I think this is a major part of the problem. The fans are too demanding in their expectations. As I, along with numerous others have said, Forest are an average second division side. We have been in the second division for longer than any other side in our league. We had a stint in the third division and have never looked like a side capable of holding our own in the PL. Promotion at this moment in time, even if we did blaze through the league, would only see us bounce straight back next season.
The media will always pick up on fans expectations as it is the fans they sell their products to.
The club would not be in business if it didn't believe it was capable of challenging for the top spot. The problem is, there are 23 other teams in the league with the same ambitions and aspirations

I think the expectations have been boosted by the public targets of the ownership to get promoted as soon as possible. Perhaps a slightly more reserved set of targets would lower some expectations

Nothing wrong with being aspirational but the demands on league positions by certain dates is madness and happened more than once in this ownership...

So who was to blame for the chance Grabban missed against Rotherham? Or the chance Guerrero missed at Barnsley? Or the chance Knockaert missed against Swansea? Or the ridiculous defending for the Swansea goal? I could go on...
If the players are not to blame for that then who is?

Average players miss chances. I include Knockaert in that statement as he is not the player of three years ago, yet.
Occasionally they will hit a golden patch, if we’re lucky it’s with us. I guess it won’t be unless Hughton finds the right formula.

Fig is plan b. As back up he'd be 'ok.'
Need a bigger and better ch in that position. Poor form from him. Can't wait for Worrall to come back.
Another winger is a must.

Yeah I agree a winger is not the priority at all. Full back and central midfield seem to be our biggest weaknesses right now
