I have seen plenty of struggling teams and even teams that end up being relegated having long periods of possession and playing well. You think to yourself they dont look too bad why are they struggling but they dont take chances and then let in a soft goal and get beaten. Thats us right now.

Bang on SM.

Just look at yesterday. Knockaert works his way into a great position and with the goal at his mercy he its it straight at the keeper. Then we give away a daft throw in and they go and score from it. Personally I thought our performance was ok yesterday. It was certainly nothing like some of the performances we witnessed under McClaren, McCleish and Megson for example.

We really do need to start putting the ball in the net. Scoring 9 goals in 14 games is a major problem.

Players are always going to be criticized while we are losing. The reason the there is debate is we all watch football differently.
Take the Swansea goal. Was it Figs fault for the ridiculous back pass into the stand. Or Ameobi for being beaten to the header by a man 6 inches shorter. Or Samba for not getting the save in. Or McKenna for the cleared header into danger.

Winning / Losing football games is usually about fine margins. We were equal to Swansea for much of the game, but only 1 team took points. Players/Coaches/management have to admit now that we have problems. We have to stop kidding ourselves that we are a top 6 side.

The stats yesterday on sky showed this, 23rd in shot conversion and 24th on xG net. We were actually pretty clinical last season but we just can't seem to take advantage this year. Think its partly just a confidence thing but it shows the impact of a bad start and then you're always fighting from there.

Hopefully they'll chill out a bit once they give up any notion of playoffs and we'll improve a little. Add Grabban back in too (hopefully the rest will have done him some good...)

Spot on OR. Who is putting us on the Top 6 pedestal though? Is it the fans, the media, or the club themselves? 

Forest fans expectations are always high nowadays and I think this is a major part of the problem. The fans are too demanding in their expectations. As I, along with numerous others have said, Forest are an average second division side. We have been in the second division for longer than any other side in our league. We had a stint in the third division and have never looked like a side capable of holding our own in the PL. Promotion at this moment in time, even if we did blaze through the league, would only see us bounce straight back next season.

The media will always pick up on fans expectations as it is the fans they sell their products to.

The club would not be in business if it didn't believe it was capable of challenging for the top spot. The problem is, there are 23 other teams in the league with the same ambitions and aspirations
