Back on thread. I will probably get slaughtered for this, but thought Yates looked really good again (header being 6 inches too high aside) especially in a midfield pair. He definitely has a goal threat in him that we haven't really seen in central areas for a while.
I could be wrong, but I think Hughton will be thinking about who should be his partner out of Colback, Arter and Sow. Many would have had him as 4th choice before season started (some probably still will such is the way of some of our supporters).

Reminded me of a Sabri game (and I like Sabri). In the first half we didn't even look to pass the ball through the lines or even play the ball quickly. We also did our old thing of the back 4 having a kickabout inviting pressure from inferior opposition not even thinking about advancing the ball up the pitch until we make that one sideways pass too many and either giveaway possession or have to hoof it. This extremely slow ball movement puts the opposition on the front foot which is inexcusable against Rotherham. Got to be more positive from the off.

Never a pen. Rotherham attacker was tripped by his own player. Good fight back. 4 points from CH first couple of games. On we go.

I thought we did ok last night. You can see that confidence is rising and things are gradually coming together.
Fair play to Rotherham too, I thought they were excellent and stopped us playing for a large part of the game. On another night we get the first goal and canter home. Last night we were unlucky with the slip and pen but salvaged something. As we get better we'll put the chances away. Im really positive.

To be fair I thought forest were excellent for the first 15 minutes then went to sleep for 40 minutes then bang at it for the last 35, a 35 that was as entertaining I've seen a forest side for some time now. Had me on the edge of my seat again, it felt bloody good too.
Baring the misses there are huge positives to take from last night, more so than Blackburn in my eyes. We started to really play some good football and have a real go, committing bodies in to the box as well.
It's been 2 weeks under Hughton just 2 weeks, you cannot rebuild a football team in that time, so we have to be patient, we look solid, we looked like we gained confidence through the game it was great to see.
Never a pen for me either he was tripped by his own man. Lolley looked at it which is a great sign, big competition too now with knocks banging on the door. I'm a lot more positive than I have been in a while. Slowly starting to see subtle changes and I like it.
Bring on the rams, 3 points and were really off to a flyer under Hughton. Long may it continue.

Agree with that KR however when watching it real time I called it pen straight away, looked really clumsy. Bring on the Rooneyless Rams.

Don't disagree at all and agree that we will improve under Hughton. My frustration was seeing veteran players who know better, once again giving the initiative to the opposition. My hope is that CH gets us playing the ball quicker and not screwing around at the back inviting pressure. You're right, we had a bad 40 min. and I am very encouraged by the amount of players we eventually got into attacking positions.

Thought we did well second half yesterday. Poor first half. I am encouraged that we are making more chances than under Sabri, and had we been able to finish, we should have won by 2 or 3.
Though disappointed with a draw, there are some positive signs. Grabban just needs one and he should be okay. Thought he worked hard and got himself into good positions. Fingers crossed that we continue to make progress, but we need full games showing a threat, rather than just a half. I'm positive!
