The Infrastructure Projects
The trains locally from Nottingham which we caught back to Derby do carry on until gone midnight. Which is a lot better than Birmingham on a Saturday, last one back was before 10:30 so we had to organise a lift after seeing Prodigy a few weeks ago.

The problem with train timings and where they cut off for the night, is a network issue rather than Nottingham. When we got to the FA Cup semi, I was looking at the timings back with concern if the game had gone extra time and penalties say.

This is probably most relevant to midweek matches, when for example there are no train services if you live in London. But even if you drive, getting away is tough, and if it gets worse and with work the next day it’s difficult. And obviously most matches are on tv so there’s a fallback. If we get back in Europe and have a slew of Thursday night matches again, or even just have the larger capacity, we need it to be practical for people to travel from outside Nottingham.

Thankfully never had issues getting away, most midweeks i can be back in Deeside before midnight. In terms of public transport, not sure what the club can do to be fair?

Trains back to Lincoln and other places often finish before the end of games or so you have to miss the end of games, that's not good enough and it's been that way for years.

Yes not saying it’s up to the club alone, but in terms of chat about a ‘Trent Sports Village’ and wider buy-in from the mayor etc, this stuff should be part of the bigger picture approach.

Isn't this an East Mids train problem rather than Forest.
EMR clearly make no effort to check football matches and make changes.

I get the train from Matlock (when possible) and on a matchday the 2 carriage train doesn't have the capacity required. Often by Long Eaton or Beeston people can't get on it's so full and it gets delayed. It really wouldn't take a genius to look at fixtures and think an extra carriage or 2 might be useful.
Evening games I have to either drive or stay in the City.

Where do these extra carriages appear from?

EMR and other TOCs don’t intentionally hold trains off the network. If you see one not working it is likely because it requires some kind of service or repair.

You defending EMR Unername? I'm sorry, I'm not having it. They're a complete and utter shambles. I commute with them and their incompetence never ceases to amaze me.

Blame the DFT mate, that’s where the issues lie, I’m not saying EMR are competent but the infrastructure issue is down to the DfT.

I do think that transport links from the Ground should be improved though, a Tram linking the centre of Nottingham to the Ground, and also from the Ground to at least one park and ride facility should have been introduced years ago.

Also, at some stage, someone is going to get hit by a car/bus/bike walking over Trent Bridge post game at some point. This needs addressing before it happens.
