The style of play is dreaful

People get too caught up in new signings thinking they’re gonna be amazing because of highlights they’ve seen on Quest or YouTube...or two performances against us.

You’ve got to question the quality of scouting going on.

I think Randall should go personally. He’s overseeing all of this.

Don t be daft Randall has nothing to do with scouting or signing players apart from the paperwork

He is the CEO, he has overall responsibility for the performance of the business.

There are plenty of examples where the recruitment and scouting is failing on some of its most basic principles.

Example 1: Bong - a player who was told he could leave in August having played barely one full game
Example 2: Diakarby - a player who can barely claim to be a player

The Club is wasting Mr Marinakis investment on terrible signings and average players.

Randall is Chairman chap, Vrentzos is CEO

Apologies, I meant Chairman, Vrentos is protected so any opinion on him doesn’t matter.

Yep not sure how many chairmen get involved in scouting players

We've had probably our best window that I can remember on paper at least, why are people laying into scouting and recruitment?!

Why is it our best window?

To buy players according to Sabris wishes and then sack Sabri would be silly... we would again end up with a ton of players who don’t play etc etc etc...

We have been down that path so often. We have a ton of points to play for and I’m certain we will improve. Soooo much better tonight than the last 2 games!

Samba: 7 Stopped the ultimate humiliation by saving from Diakhaby.
Christie 3  Looked very rusty
Blackett 3 Looked like a CB playing LB...
McKenna 6 Very promising, but was out smarter by Campbell for goal.
Soh  6 Cant believe hes 19. Big future, though raw.
Arter 4.5 Hope he has alot more to offer than this.
Sow 4 Hasnt played for ages...it showed.
Colback 6 Busy, saved us a couple of times.
Ameobi 6 Probably our best player, not saying much.
Freeman 4 Anonymous mostly.
Taylor 5.5 Worked hard, fed off not alot.

Grabban 5 Looked more like his old self in his time on pitch.
Mighten 5 Did ok.

Overall very disjointed. Danny Gabbidon summed it up when he said he couldn't see what the plan is in possession. Huddesfield looked crap, we were worse.

Will take a while to gel but have we got a while?

Sorry, name me a better one?!

We've signed highly rated proven players in positions where we needed replacements without even making a loss. I would class that as an excellent window personally

Last summer was better.

We added quality in Samba, Sow, Ribeiro, Silva and Ameobi.

Tangible upgrades in identifiable areas.

I think this is harsh.

Certainly the lad from malmo and the Spanish chap look odd considering they aren't even making the bench but most would have been happy.

Arter and colback have shown they are very good players.
Taylor for Charlton caused us no end of problems when he played against us
Freeman was one of the best attacking players in the league for QPR a couple of seasons ago
Christie is an experienced full back

They should make our first team better. They are not.

Why not?

Because the way they are being asked to play has become so negative, so Conservative that we make even a good player look average.

Grabban, Lolley, Figs - all look average at best.

Nobody looks good in this team.

I don’t think that Arter, Colback or (particularly) Taylor will make us much better. The improvement, if any, will be negligible.

We needed to replace Watson, who was poor since the restart so the bar was low, but we have probably gone like for like with Colback in reality.

A Fulham fan I know doesn’t rate Arter. I thought he was ok today but what did he do that was notable?

Grabban will score goals. Dropping him for Taylor will only have a negative effect.

Surely like for like for Watson would be good as Watson was good.

Grabban deserved to be dropped, he's strike rate is pretty poor and he was missing too many chances. Personally would've liked to see both start.

Judging players on one game is silly, these are proven players at this level filling gaps that everyone has wanted to be filled

Watson has not been good since February mate.

Re Grabban: you persevere with good strikers and give them proper service. The way we are setup is failing him. I guarantee that dropping him will not have a positive effect for him or the club.

The only player I’m judging on one game is Soh as I’ve never seen him play before. The rest I have seen play, plenty more than once.

I think when the tactics are so negative, the approach play so slow and the attacking drive so weak, it is almost impossible for a player to look good.

If they are playing this way because they are incapable of playing a different way then we are in big trouble and you have to question why the manager wanted them and we hy we signed them

If they are playing like this because this is how the team has been set up to play then you have to question the manager.

If we are playing to our strengths with these tactics, we have one of the worst squads in the league

@wassy We only haven’t made a loss because our academy is funding our self harming in the transfer market.

To keep Sabri would be silly, far too negative and nothing will change with him at the helm, we are void of any confidence and it is getting worse with every game, a new manager that has the know how and knows this league will make a huge difference with this group of players.

Time for change before its too late!
