Huddersfield - Nottingham Forest
How can Sabri transform a team that looks half decent on paper - against a side that will be battling relegation - into players that look like they haven’t seen a football in months.
Both full backs were poor - Blackett was a Bong in sheep’s clothing.
Even Arter, Colback & Freeman were ineffective.

My pre game confidence evaporated within a few minutes.

Truly dreadful.

I await the white smoke coming out of Piraeus.

So Blackett is better than Ribero is he?

Christie is better than Darikwa?

Hard pressed to judge any of these players. If I was to watch all three of our league games this season without prior knowledge I would assume we were relegation favourites and none of the players are any good

Barring McKenna (and possibly Soh) I’m not convinced we needed any of these new players. Should have added quality to a team that finished 7th not quantity.

I disagree with that, our team was bang average last year. Think Sabri got the most out of it.

I thought Freeman was a central player, he looked out of position on the wing. No threat and not useful defensively to the fullback.

Sabri really wanted him, so why are we playing him out of position?

If he does get sacked who would people like to replace him ?

I think this is harsh.

Certainly the lad from malmo and the Spanish chap look odd considering they aren't even making the bench but most would have been happy.

Arter and colback have shown they are very good players.
Taylor for Charlton caused us no end of problems when he played against us
Freeman was one of the best attacking players in the league for QPR a couple of seasons ago
Christie is an experienced full back

They should make our first team better. They are not.

Why not?

Because the way they are being asked to play has become so negative, so Conservative that we make even a good player look average.

Grabban, Lolley, Figs - all look average at best.

Nobody looks good in this team.

As he should do? Although in my opinion he didn’t quite get the most out of it as we should have finished top 6?

That’s my point. We needed quality. We now have 348 players but hardly any improvement in quality.

I don’t think that Arter, Colback or (particularly) Taylor will make us much better. The improvement, if any, will be negligible.

We needed to replace Watson, who was poor since the restart so the bar was low, but we have probably gone like for like with Colback in reality.

A Fulham fan I know doesn’t rate Arter. I thought he was ok today but what did he do that was notable?

Grabban will score goals. Dropping him for Taylor will only have a negative effect.
