20m for Omari Hutchinson
18m for Jaden Philogene - Deal Agreed
17m for Jacob Greaves - Medical
15m + 5m for Liam Delap - Deal Agreed
Ben Johnson on a Free

70m on only 5 signings so far, They are definitely going to hit £100m+

Let's hope they don't take a West Ham target or the Talksport mob will be on their case.

They're going to have to cover their promotion bonuses in their PSR calc but probably wont be carrying over the big championship losses that we had to when we were calculating our PSR.

Well played to them that they're trying to have a bit of a go though. Fail to spend and relegation is a definite certainty.  They could've easily chosen to not spend and take the easy option as their neighbours Norwich did/do.

The massive difference between Ipswich and Forests business here will be the wages these signings are on. All the above are under 25yrs most 21-22. None will be on anything like what we paid Lingard, Kouyate, Navas, Henderson, Aurier, Felipe etc etc. They can afford quite a few big fees without even coming close to PSR risk.
The question though, is a load of inexperienced kids however talented going to be enough for them to survive?

It didn't work for Burnley!

It should be noted that as Ipswich went up back to back years they'll have been under the League one tight finance rules on wages so will likely have capacity to spend a lot more than we did as I imagine they didn't make massive losses (haven't actually checked that)

Will they have L1 FFP caps in place?

Yep, for that first year's accounts but the L1 rules are way more restrictive than the championship so I doubt they made an impactful loss. Plus then they'll have taken a low wage bill into the championship so will likely have not made a big loss.

You're right though they'll have an even lower total allowable loss than we did in year 1 in the prem.

Ipswich WILL have League 1 losses (if any) to cover in the next accounts, sailing close to the wind already but then again they have US owners who dont seem to care a f**k!

They are allowed £35m loss this year and £13m last year, unclear what the L1 loss is as different rules but safe to say they are allowed to lose a fair bit. However they will earn vastly more this season from Tv and sponsorship would estimate around £150m. Therefore to bust their PSR limit they would have to be spending way way more than they have to date.
Don’t forget all those values above are amortised. They arent even close at the moment, nowhere near.

Like their business- I wouldn’t have minded phologene and Greaves. However, loads of kids and there is a real need for physicality- I’m not sure they have that!

Looks like Villa have activated their matching rights for Philogene they would be be able to sign him for 70% of 18m due to a sell on clause.

Rumours gathering pace of a 'big' points deduction coming up for Steve Coopers Leicester City.

Their breach is for 22/3, they say they are compliant last season which makes no difference to PL rules anyway.
Would expect a 4-6 point deduction max. Depends if you call that big but won’t help for any club likely to be near the bottom.

When would the points deduction be announced (if any)

Hopefully before the start of the season, some Bin Dippers think it might be 12 points.

I wouldn't sign him for 10 quid.
