It is with great joy we start the Premier League 2024/25 thread, there were moments last season where I thought it might be The Championship 2025.

This year we welcome two of lasts years relegated teams back, Leicester and Southampton.
Ipswich have surprised everyone except themselves and will be the team I support to stay up against all the odds, can they go one place better than Luton?

It was a well predicted farewell for Luton, Burnley and Sheffield Utd, although I would love to have seen Luton survive at someone else's expense.
Will any be able to bounce back... I have my doubts.

Who's gonna win the League?
The manager merry-go-round may present a surprise or two.
Any club except Man City & Man Utd has my vote.

Not too much expected on the transfer front for Forest with PSR & all.
Just hope that whoever the Forest manager will be, he'll have a full preseason with all the squad, not so many last minute arrivals.

COYR's.
Looks like Enzo Maresca will become the Chelsea Manager...

Leicester will be scrambling around now...
I can't quiet get my head around that one.

Chelsea appear to have lost the plot completely.
As well as a points deduction Leicester may have some players poached, as middle table teams have there’s poached by the top 6 perhaps? It maybe a real summer of dominoes falling

The only question is whether he be gone when the pumpkins are still out or when Christmas decs are up.
Who’s your winner and bottom 3 then?

Maybe they think the only way they'll beat Guardiola is with someone who worked for him.

Hasn't quite worked out for Arsenal yet.
If maresca is going to Chelsea, McKenna seems to be stopping at Ipswich because I assume ETH has done enough winning a cup, who do Brighton go for? Has Frank’s head been turned enough to seek appointment else where regardless? I do think Brentford will struggle again, I also think Everton are in a knife edge especially with the take over not complete yet
McKenna likely to stay with Ipswich according to Sky Sports.
Cooper to Leicester I reckon.

Surely that would be a mistake for both parties?

Or Liverpool. I'm just waiting for that scummy club to suffer a complete collapse & get relegated down to league 2 in successive seasons. When that happens I will have lived my life & can go in complete peace with a smile on my face  ?

I would be reasonably happy if Arsenal could stop the Man City juggernaut this year.
Interesting listening to Darren Ambrose on Talksport
He reckons Ipswich will finish top 10 this season on basis of how good McKenna is

Have his had a look at their squad, they will have to breach PSR to have a team to compete.

No matter how good Mckenna is you can't polish a turd.
