Against that how many have we signed in that period that we've either released or not sold but just left them in the reserves? Big ticket items is the key anyway, you turn one 1 mil signing into 10m and you're laughing. Imagine if we'd paid for James Justin when we were interested, just look at his value increase since then. This is the kind of success I was referring to. If you sign 10 players for around 1m and you sell one for 10m you've got a pretty good setup going.
Then you add in academy sales which are just pure profit and you're able to continue reinvesting in the squad, like how Brentford did it. It does seem that suddenly everyone has become aware that this is the best tactic, should be good for the league as a whole. Particularly if they ever ditch parachute payments
