If it was me I’d have a spreadsheet that pops up with a ‘don’t spend any more’ warning on it. EM must have known we were going over before he spent the money

Again it wasn’t the big man's job to keep an eye on the money side of it. When you're a billionaire you don't have a dog and bark yourself do you. Someone will have to take the blame and will be fired or have been fired for it.

EM will have known though where they stand financially. FFP is such a massive part of football these days, its incumbent on the board of directors to be on top of it.

I have a theory that we knew damn well - especially EM hence his insistence on top 10 aim. That would have given us a clear cushion.

All I'm saying Pap is you can't expect EM to keep an eye on the books constantly and pay for and rely on someone to do that for him. If he did know I would say it would've been to late hence the reason we got this top notch lawyer involved.

I reckon he will have known the ffp situation before the cut off date and could've instructed the sale of a player.

At the end of the day none of us fans will know what actually has happened and people are panicking for nothing yet. Some think points deduction others think points deduction and a fine and if rumours are true coming from the club we'll get a slapped hand and will be kept an eye on. But whatever has happened EM won't let it happen again.

It won’t matter if we’re in the championship ??

It would be tragic
We are 1 good transfer window off being a top 10 outfit

I would probably say 50/60m for MGW
40/50 for Murillo
30/35 for Danilo
35/40 for Awoniyi
So around 180m

Would that be a fair estimation or would it be too much.
Southampton sold Romeo Lavia for 58m, Leicester sold Maddison and Barnes for about 90m all together.
Don’t even go there
Still dont believe we will get a deduction.

We have complied and immediately put it right.
Everton had the chance to put it right, and didn’t do it, they carried on buying and not sticking to the business plan.

This is getting ridiculous now - so many in the media are now sticking their oar in as if they have been briefed. Was told today that the Premiership are wanting their pound of flesh from us - EM scares the establishment with his wealth and links to further resources.

2023-24 accounts for nearly all clubs except wolves (because of their willingness to stick to an imposed FA plan after a ‘potential’ breach) Brentford and Brighton plus the promoted clubs (Burnley a bit close too apparently) are showing under the current rules they would be charged.

Hence all clubs led by the big 6 are now ganging up to change the rules.

This is a ridiculous situation and one in which we won’t come out of easily as people expect.

I don't believe we'll get relegated or even deducted points. I can't say I fully understand the ffp rules but I gather that if we sold Johnson earlier in the window we would've been fine but we had the right and sensible buisness practice to wait to get the best possible price for a homegrown player and really the rules should reflect that.

Bournemouth should be very close imo 200m spent since start of last season and only selling 1 player for 1.5m. That is less sustainable than what we have done. We have nearly bought in 100m in sales this season, 47.5m for Johnson, 30m for Mangala, 5m for Surridge, 3m for Ojeda, 4m for Scarpa and 3.5m for Freuler.

I’m telling you at least 10 are in breach and some run into hundreds of millions in p and s loss under current rules. The Covid losses allowance were an absolute joke of a loophole that is now gone.
