Nice balanced post. One thing I know for a fact about Yates is that he has an exemplary attitude, work ethic to improve, is his own biggest critic and will listen and learn at every opportunity.
Ultimately I still think his future will be as an old fashioned box to box midfielder who gets fair share of goals. None of this defensive or attacking MF stuff, a proper midfielder who does his job at both ends of the pitch as well as in the middle......hopefully.

There are too many in and around the game who rave about him for them all to be wrong.

No one’s ever going to say ‘nah he’s not great, but he’s got a good heart’ are they??
I’ve spoken to Gary Brazil, Andy Reid, Kevin Nolan and Daws about him.
They have all said he will play in Prem.
They are prob better judges than me or you TBF.

Of course they are the better judges and if Yates can start putting some of those chances away then it won't be long before everyone jumps on the bandwagon (except GreenMan and Madforit) :)
