He has not.

Which means, he is currently not happy to stay and may be looking around for more money.

That I am afraid is the simple naked truth.  If he wants to stay why has he not signed his contract offer ?

It's not about money.

Does it really matter what it’s about ? Not signed his contract so as it stands less than 12 months left on it . If Brighton want him he ll be gone

I think it does matter yes and I am sure it's something that our fans want to know about too.

Well unless he comes out and says what’s holding him back signing then I guess we ll never know, either way Brighton want him, he’s gone

Some of us already do know but we won't write it on here until the time is right.

When’s the time right? When he goes to Brighton

Maybe.

Telegraph reporting Cooper *isn't' currently an option for the Brighton job.

RE: Stevie Cooper - Mist From The Trent - 10-09-2022

Cooper was fantastic for us last season. Really galvanised the club, exceeded all expectations and got us to the Premier League after 23 years away. He will always be held in high esteem for that. However, he has been backed, arguably, better than any other promoted manager in the history of the League has been. Including buying his main target. It is understandable that he feels some sort of loyalty to the players that got us up, but he needs to bin that loyalty now. We haven't bought in squad players from European teams. We've gone out and got captains, proven scorers in the Premier League, top young English talent and experienced PL players. To Finish the game against Bournemouth with Worral, Cook, Mckenna, Yates and Colback was absolutely criminal.
I really want Cooper to stay, I think he is a fantastic coach. But, if he loves the place as much as he professes to, he could have put to bed any worries about another club poaching him, just like Thomas Frank did.
I hope whatever has gone on is repairable and we can all enjoy another exciting season!

Totally agree, but also in fairness to Cooper he has not been afforded the same luxury the Frank has had to publicly squash any rumours. Frank did that at his pre match press conference before the games were postponed after her Majesty sadly passed.

Cooper did not do his because our game was the Monday and was scheduled after the tragic events. If he has a presser this week it will be interesting to see where he is.

Welcome by the way. I agree with most of this and accept that Sniffer is almost always correct so there is something going off behind the scenes which is concerning.
However one point, people have also been bemoaning a lack of continuity as a potential weakness, Worrall Cook Mckenna Yates and Colback were 5 players who were in the team that took apart Arsenal and Leicester and pushed Liverpool all the way. We need a core of players who breathe Forest, they dont all need binning off. Just maybe not all 5 of them on the pitch at the same time, Steve.
