RE: The Infrastructure Projects - nffc93 - 15-10-2025 I'll believe this stadium redevelopment when I see it. I'll be dubious when I see it..... Nottingham City Council have voted to apply to be one of the host cities. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 28-11-2025 Get that Bridgford Stand name changed ASAP to the John Robertson stand. It's a no brainer. NFFC GOAT. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 28-11-2025 City Ground listed as one of the proposed stadia for the UK's Women's World Cup bid for 2035. Presumably dependent on redevelopment taking place. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Paplane - 28-11-2025 Might give us a biy more leverage with the planners re the Bridgford end. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 29-11-2025 There's a public consultation on the redevelopment plans this coming week. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 01-12-2025 Nottingham Forest supporters will get their first look at proposals for a new, modernised City Ground this week – with official plans to be submitted later this month. Forest, 16th in the Premier League after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, are expected to deliver all the planning documents to the local authority, Rushcliffe Borough Council, on December 15. That will enable fans to see the preliminary designs that, if approved, would mean the City Ground capacity increasing by around 50 percent from its current 31,000 to a figure closer to 45,000. The club will also hold two drop-in sessions on Friday and Saturday for supporters, local residents and various stakeholders to see the plans in more detail. A full launch event is planned for the new year. As The Athletic revealed in October, Forest have brought in the architects who oversaw Liverpool’s Anfield expansion and have decided to abandon their initial proposals for the City Ground in favour of a significantly more ambitious project. The club had previously intended to demolish the Peter Taylor stand – the oldest, and smallest, of their four stands – and replace it with an entirely new structure, increasing the stadium’s capacity to around 35,000. Six and a half years since those plans were first announced, the council gave the project the green light in June. Among sweeping changes, however, the club have been exploring alternative proposals to remove the roof, then build over the existing structure to turn it into one of the biggest stands in English football. The new stand would be 58 metres tall, whereas the previous application was for one of 38 metres, and triple in size from 5,000 to 15,000 seats. To put it into context, that would be 1,500 more than Chelsea’s West Stand, the largest at Stamford Bridge. Forest also want to fill in the corners either side of the Trent End, joining it up with the adjacent stands to create up to 5,000 more seats. Konstantinos Chatzimanolis, an architect formerly with Foster + Partners, is prominently involved, having been appointed earlier this year as an executive for the Evangelos Marinakis multi-club model. Forest have brought in KSS Group, the London-based architectural firm that previously oversaw the expansion of Liverpool’s home stadium and was supposed to be designing the new-look Elland Road for Leeds United before the project was given to Manchester-based BDP instead. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 01-12-2025 Sounds great. Now lets see some action instead of blah blah blah. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Salvatore Matrecano - 01-12-2025 Sounds fantastic but we need planning approval again and the darling local NIMBYs will be complaining 58m blocks the sun to their vegetable patch and makes traffic busy for a few hours every other week. It does sound bloody huge to be fair. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - BadDog - 04-12-2025 New ground looks rather massive 45k upto a possible 52k. RE: The Infrastructure Projects - Fumanchew - 04-12-2025 Flats gone completely? Thought there was gonna be less that’s all Also an add on to Brian clough? |
