By definition, mutual consent implies Cooper has agreed to it. You think he'd battle through this whole season to just give up in the summer?

If he wanted to move to a new team it would also make way more sense for us to get compensation rather than just let him.go. Potter went for 20m+ for example.

Said it elsewhere. If we stay up, Cooper is Manager of the Year for me. Especially with ridiculous injury list. 
Just spent a fortune on renewing STs, and I would much rather have Cooper at the helm than any likely replacements.

A rookie coach, new sqaud, little time to prepare pre-season, the disastrous start and then this monstrous injury list. I think he'd consider he's done ok if we stay up.

That is one way of looking at it or one side of the story.

I agree up until the bit about understanding if he goes. If Cooper is forced out after keeping us up, I and I believe the majority of fans will be very angry. I also think we'd be a laughing stock to other teams. 

Whoever the new manager is, unless he has instant success the chants for Cooper will be there straight away.

I get that, but won't be joining in. I'm sure that if Marinakis does decide to change manager then it will be carefully considered. He has shown enormous restraint this season.
I don't care if the media or other fans think we are a laughing stock. So many other clubs are. All season people have been laughing at us for the amount of signings we have made!

Yeah I mean it's more just another reason not to do it, just feels like we've got such a good feeling around the ground at the moment. Atmosphere vs Brighton was surely the best it's ever been. I just don't understand why you'd want to give up that advantage and create likely divisions within the fanbase including inevitable anger towards the owners (in the event we stayed up)

I do agree that the end of the season is the correct time to change manager if you are going to do it. Best options available of new managers and allows any new manager to do pre-season and make any changes required early.

The good feeling around ground is very valid. It has been incredible at the City Ground (and the few away games I've been able to get tickets for).
The fans also loved Lamouchi, until they didn't. But we never got behind Houghton.

I do think Mr Marinakis will know this and it will be considered when Cooper is replaced (maybe a long time away). I was lucky enough to be in the Directors box recently, and Miltiadis was there and he definitely does care.

Its going to be interesting that's for sure, and above all I hope the good feeling at the City Ground continues, whatever league we are in and whoever is the manager. Hopefully Cooper in the PL.
