Captain Joe

Standard immediate post match interview from the captain of a team on an awful run.

He isn't team captain though is he? He may have been on the day but Grabban is meant to be 1st choice captain and Colback vice captain. Would be nice to hear from them or a senior figure such as Dawson fronting up rather than leaving it to the youngsters.

No.  in general.

Joe and Yates.  McKenna.  They'll fight to the bitter end.

Something is wrong when Ameobi's head is dropping.  Something isn't right.

It would only highlight the failure of recruitment and leadership.

And a lack of vision on the pitch.

I honestly can't see it happening Sniff. But if we do, then I too will be majorly pissed off

Given our wage bill surely we will have to sell someone in either January or next Summer, especially bearing in mind that another season in the Championship (at best) beckons?

I hope its not Mighten as I believe his value could increase once he has been given a run of games.

This is the worry. I'd throw a not for sale sign around Worrall, McKenna, Yates, Mighten & Mbe Soh. They've got a combination of talent (allegedly for the 2 teenagers, would like to see more of them!), hunger, passion for this club and they're improving as players.

I would like to keep others like Samba, Lolley, Ameobi, Ribeiro, Taylor. I think they're good players at this level, but are out of form / struggling under the current set-up.

The rest of the squad I would use to wheel and deal with so as to keep the core that we need to build around. It still probably wouldn't be enough sadly, as there are too many on high wages without good resale value.

Wheel and dealing with the rest you haven’t mentioned... impossible
Worrall, Grabban, Mighten are our only decent assets that clubs would offer a fee for.

To maintain viability we need a fee of £7m plus, I think it’s actually greater this year due to the bloated squad of never beens we’ve added.

You could sell Figgy, Ribeiro, Samba, Grabban and Ameobi and it wouldn’t be enough.

We traded with our head in the sand during the Summer, we can’t keep doing that

January - with the opportunity to ( very selectively ) trade - might be our last chance saloon.

EM has to think very carefully about the actions he is to take.

I would sell Mighten if a significant bid came in. He hardly features and so wouldn’t be a loss.
