Captain Joe

Anybody else listen to Joe Worralls interview with Colin Fray after yesterday's game? The lad sounded genuinely hurt by the result and the way the team performed. The interview can be found on Twitter on the BBC Nottingham Sport page or whatever its called.

Worrall: “I don’t know what to say. We seem to be in a rut at the moment. Home truths have got to be dished out. We are really suffering. There needs to be that desire from us and face the reality that Nottingham Forest are fourth from bottom in the Championship.”

If we had 11 Joe Worralls then one thing is for sure. We wouldn't be in the mess that we are in now.

^ Agreed ^

I would imagine he is not popular in the dressing room either if he is giving the prima donnas a piece of his mind and telling them how it is. And I bet he doesnt give a flying f**k whether he is popular or not, as long as his club performs well and are doing well.

Did he make some sort of slightly odd comment about “we are not friends right now” was he referring to specific team mates or the situation in general?

Couldnt agree more about if we had 11 Joe Worralls. There are other teams with less talent than our squad that for whatever reason are significantly out performing us.

This is what he said regarding not being friends Salv......................

“We’re a team, but we’re not friends at the end of the day. We’ve got to be honest with each other and I can’t stand being near the foot of the table.”

Home truths can be very damaging if timed incorrectly.

He’s done that before and it’s been counter productive.

He's the captain now though, it is part of his responsibility to help put the team straight.

The truth can hurt, but why skip around it? By doing or saying nothing, is that not just as counter-productive?

Joe is right - and it needed saying.

I seem to be in the other corner, I haven't forgotten his mistake v the sheep last season.
Still hard to forgive for that.
Also considering that last season, its a bit rich coming from him.
Its a Kay Burley, Beth Rigby situation, not tenable considering their earlier stance.
Anyway, all these players spouting how they do, " I'm a Red through and through"
Thats until money comes along, then they piss off to pastures new, then towards the end of their career they want to come back as a manager or coach, it happens too much.
I am not saying I would do any different mind, the money sets them up for life.
Who was the Forest player who refused to move recently, was it Riberio?
If so that is what I respect!

In a team sport?

It can be utterly counter productive.
