Sorry Sniffer I don t agree , they guy wants better than what’s being served up on and off the park is the way I see it, nothing more nothing less

I want better as well mate, we all do.

Sadly though I can't see a happy ending if DT continues, that is my fear.

Haha sorry I feel bad about starting this thread then not logging back in all day  :D didnt expect this but I guess it just shows how divisive he is.

Personally I think he feels that Vrentzos should be forced out and by highlighting the issues he's found this is the way to do it. Short term pain for long term gain.

The big question is he doing this because he has a grudge or because he genuinely thinks this is the only option. Given his previous work and his clear love for the club and his status as a top journalist I think the latter. However I can see how it can easily come across the other way right now.

Would the people that don't like what he's doing prefer he said nothing? Or just released quarterly athletic updates? Genuine question

I'd prefer he say he wants Vrentzos gone if that's what his aim is, has he actually said that anywhere or has he just said "Vrentzos does this", "Vrentzos does that"? Rather than just waiting for us to lose a match and then throwing bits and bobs out on Twitter he should use the audience and medium he's got to make Marinakis sit up and listen but isn't using it.

I'd also like to know why it's only him doing it? Granted he's a top journalist but is he privy to more than Paul Taylor Or John Percy? If things are as bad as he makes them out surely those other journalists would have something to say.

I was just speculating thats what he wants, he's never said that and is generally fairly balanced in his articles. I dont follow twitter too much. I'm guessing he either wants him gone or to completely change his style and personality...

Also, I suspect others say nothing to maintain their relationship with the club as his must be burnt now. Which is good too, leaking information to Paul Taylor seems to be their main form of communication.

From what I have been told, and I do not know if the information is pure speculation or accurate, the problems have arisen from the way Vrentzos has treated some of the staff; in particular two of the board members.

The original Tweets from Danny appear to have touched a nerve, as it led to others being singled out and accused of giving Taylor information; this led to people leaving their positions within the Club.

Danny has built up a network of contacts many of whom he considers friends, some of them dating back to the days when Doughty owned the Club, so I do not think that will stop the information flow, and there is no question that the information he is getting originates there.

On a more positive note: the same person told me that some of the people who had been side lined by Vrentzos are being reintegrated back into their former duties.

This could be nothing more than a culture clash; Vrentzos maybe thought he could employ the same management philosophy he does in Greece, assuming things are significantly different there; he now realises that he cannot manage in that way he has committed to change - this is supposition on my part.

RE: Daniel Taylor - ThePromisedLand - 24-01-2021

Well that sounds wholly plausible JCK.

If there's staff briefing journalists then they deserve to be asked to leave the club. That's slimply not acceptable in any company or organisation unless its a safeguarding issue.

Im glad you also mentioned there are signs of repair evident. It reinforces my view that there is definitely a sea change happening within the club since around the time Sabri left.

RE: Daniel Taylor - ThePromisedLand - 24-01-2021

Hope you’re right Pap - but my understanding is that staff continue to depart.

Very happy to be shown to be wrong.

RE: Daniel Taylor - Username - 24-01-2021

It must be bad if we’ve got a six page thread discussing Daniel Taylor

RE: Daniel Taylor - Madforit - 25-01-2021

Really bad now...…..7 pages :D

Are you sure they have not been put on furlough because that makes a huge difference.

What is there for all these staff to be doing when the football club has been virtually closed down for months.

RE: Daniel Taylor - ThePromisedLand - 25-01-2021

Some have Sniff - we know that.

But not all...

I am trying to get to the bottom of this in a nice friendly way but nobody will help me out.

I keep reading on here that many staff are leaving the football club, so who are all these staff? Are we talking about 2 or 3 or 20 or 30? Come on help me and the other readers out?

To be honest I am struggling to see any evidence plus like I said before perhaps they have been put on furlough because there is nothing for them to do.

It would be nice to get a bit of insight otherwise I take it that it's just a personal friend or two of DT and nothing more than that.

So to those who keep saying that many staff are leaving please elaborate.

Plenty of staff have left during the last 18 months, and that is from somebody from within the football club.

I'm certainly not going to elaborate sniff just as you would not on the money issue comment not so long ago. Probably for the same reasons mate.

RE: Daniel Taylor - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 25-01-2021

Fair enough MR. I appreciate your reply. Have these staff who have left been replaced by better? Were they doing their jobs correctly?

I won't pretend that I don't know anything about this because I do but I am interested in other peoples views on it.
