Feels like he deserves his own thread. Seems to be the most divisive figure involved right now!
Nice to get updates on his ramblings though, creates good debate.
Not sure it helps for this season but I guess if you want to force changes then its not going to happen overnight. He did say they listen a lot to twitter so probably applies to forums too. I guess this is why he's sticking with it.
My opinion is we're lucky to have such a high ranked journalist on our side. I just hope this is a genuinely justified campaign and not a vendetta due to a falling out

Swansea are a perfect example of how to run a club. The manager may change but their footballing ethos doesn’t and they recruit managers and players to play the system they have been playing since they beat us in the play offs all those years back."
It all seems to stem from this.
Swansea were well underway in terms of philosophy when they out footballer the Billy Davies side out of the play offs.
And all these years later were still waiting.
I can understand Taylor or Forest fans getting irked.
Yesterday's result summed up the two clubs approaches.

Well this thread will boost his ego if nothing else.
I like DT but I can appreciate why people saying mud raking causes harm, it certainly does. But when the club is stinking from the top down in my opinion I think he is correct to air the problems.
For those that are in denial of our problems, how many times do you think Man City told DT to get lost when he was uncovering the abuse scandals. Very different of course, nothing criminal here but its the principle of hearing some uncomfortable truths.

‘divisive’?
Not sure how Danny Taylor can be labelled in this manner.
He is a fan.
He is purely sharing his frustrations.
My guess is that he speaks for the ( silent ) majority.
Makes a refreshing change.

I wish we'd stop trying to copy other clubs full stop. What works for Swansea is a model suited to their ownership, and the corresponding staff which they know & employ.
That doesn't mean it will work for us, in fact the reason we're in this mess this season is because we've tried to copy the coach-recruitment model, and the staff involved haven't been up to it.
The approach should always be to make the best of our strengths. Building a model around our weakest areas - recruitment and board-level football decisions - is the wrong way to go. I'd much sooner leave as much of the footballing decisions as possible to the manager, until we get a proper DOF at the club & Vrentroz + Modesto step backwards. Anyone wanting us to copy the likes of Swansea at this time is oblivious to the realities of our situation.

He is a fan. His admiration of our club is clear to see, he wrote I believe in Miracles. Thats why he is frustrated like many of is on here. He just has a far bigger platform for airing his views.

Which is why he shouldnt be slagging the club off with an ex pro and dad of a current pro. I can just about justify Jonno's comments, he wants the best for his lad and probably thinks he should be in our first team now (who's dad wouldnt be of that view), but Taylor just seems to snipe and snipe. His comments are amplified a thousand times. As such has to be responsible with them.

According to the above he's not a fan, just my opinion of course. He has his motives, I make no secret of the fact that I don't like him.
Stop burying your head in the sand.
He is as much a fan as any of us on here.
He just happens to be a first class investigative journalist - just ask some of those players who were subjected to horrendous treatment when they were younger.
I fail to see why anyone should be troubled by his comments.
If he is wrong - or peddling untruths - then the club should come out and say so.

Come on TPL. Stop burying your head in the sand.
Do you really believe that Taylor's comments are helping and having a positive effect on the club? Seriously, do you believe that?

I’m sure he does care - and to be fair to him, he’s paying a fortune every month in wages (none of Fawaz’s bank holidays) while not getting ticket sales etc. Problem is, a lot of those players/wages shouldn’t be here! And then we make up for it by flogging academy kids ??
^ one of DT’s tweets yesterday. Balanced, reasonable, nothing in there that many fans wouldn’t sympathise with - but let’s not let reason get in the way... ^

Come off it Sniff. If your definition above is the be all and end all to being a supporter, then the vast majority of us that use this forum should all just walk away and never let Nottingham Forest darken our lives again, as we have all made negative comments on here from time to time, be it against the club, owners, manager, CEO, the players, the food, ticket prices, the works!!
I did see an interesting tweet earlier which said something on the lines of "Vrentzos and Modesto monitor social media LOTS. It wouldn't surprise me if they weren't behind a certain Forum that seems to want to engage in positive stuff only" Or words to that effect. I'm not saying that it is this forum they were referring to, but with constant protection of the owners and being against anything said that is negative about them on here, could put ideas into other peoples heads. If it is this forum, which i strongly doubt, then so what if we do state negative things. If it is broken, it needs fixing and IF Vrentzos and Modesto do monitor this site, at least they can see that we aren't a bunch of happy clappers on here and are stating, sensibly and reasonably areas where there are problems.
This is not wanting to start another argument with you Sniff, just pointing out what others are saying and thinking
