Can’t speak about alleged fallings out etc but I am pretty disappointed about this sale. I will preface that by saying I was significantly more gutted about Burke. He looked like he was going to tear up the league that year whereas BB was second choice.

I really rated Ben have watched him play for a few years, he did well despite warbs playing him as a wide winger. He’s got impressive feet confidence and a decent finish on him. He had some obvious flaws, he struggled badly in the air despite his height, which doesn’t help when compared to Murphy. He also didn’t have the greatest touch but then neither does harry Kane. I think if he works on his heading and gets a bit stronger there’s a quality player in there. A loan deal to league one similar to Cummings would’ve been my preference. Get him some goals for half a season and get some confidence.

I think he’ll be a success at Blackburn, seems like they intend to build their entire team round him. I think ultimately if we go up due to his replacement then all will be forgiven but right now I’m waiting to be impressed. I’d be interested to know who’s call it was to sell to, selling an academy star massively puts the pressure on karanka (if it was his choice l, I doubt it was)

Hi! Of course they will, rightly or wrongly they’ve spent their entire budget on him so they will definitely put him as the focal point of the attack. I would guess he’ll score around 10 this season’s maybe 15 at a push

Minutes played?
Blackburn’s league position?

Goals scored primarily I would suggest. Not expecting him to tear the league apart this year but I think he’ll get double figures.

1) Knows the club,
2) Was reasonably successful here (in a team set up to not concede),
3) Has a certain amount of quality about him, and definitely goals in him
4) Is available probably at a cut price as Norwich will be desperate to get rid and his stock is low at the moment
5) Might come for a reasonable wage as he needs to leave there to get his career going again
6) Will be desperate to get a move
7) Would have an affinity to the other Portuguese here
8) Is an experienced Champ player now

We agree then, apologies. I personally wouldn't have been unhappy if he'd come in as our no1 choice striker target.

If he does come in though he's going to be way below the required fitness levels I'd imagine.
