Benjamin Brereton
Not so sure. This started on deadline day when Nixon claimed that Breo initially didn’t want the move and was surprised that NFfc accepted an offer.

Doesn’t matter now he is gone.

The following few days the club found out he was being touted about.... we’ve got a good deal in my opinion.

Forest 2 - Ipswich 1 - Brereton scored netting us all 3 points

Forest 3 - Barnley 0 - Again Brereton scored

Forest 1 - Reading 0 - No Brereton

When you consider that it's even more bizare that we're selling him, and AK isn't using him.

I think it’s more bizarre to use statistics like this and suggest that Brereton is some kind of second coming.

I'm not. You'd just think Ak would use a striker who's played a part in getting him a few of his rare victories.

He's only won 6 games since arriving. I'd have thunk the striker who helped get him 2 of those would have figured in his plans more.

Or maybe it's BECAUSE we've only won 6 games that he's decided things need to change?

That's all I needed to know.  Ty for the info', Templar.

Bye Ben.

£7 million plus add one can get a striker and a D/CM who can do the business now.

SA.

Can’t speak about alleged fallings out etc but I am pretty disappointed about this sale. I will preface that by saying I was significantly more gutted about Burke. He looked like he was going to tear up the league that year whereas BB was second choice.

I really rated Ben have watched him play for a few years, he did well despite warbs playing him as a wide winger. He’s got impressive feet confidence and a decent finish on him. He had some obvious flaws, he struggled badly in the air despite his height, which doesn’t help when compared to Murphy. He also didn’t have the greatest touch but then neither does harry Kane. I think if he works on his heading and gets a bit stronger there’s a quality player in there. A loan deal to league one similar to Cummings would’ve been my preference. Get him some goals for half a season and get some confidence.

I think he’ll be a success at Blackburn, seems like they intend to build their entire team round him. I think ultimately if we go up due to his replacement then all will be forgiven but right now I’m waiting to be impressed. I’d be interested to know who’s call it was to sell to, selling an academy star massively puts the pressure on karanka (if it was his choice l, I doubt it was)

You think they will build their team around him. Wow. After five games and no goals, he’ll be on the bench for them, and probably on loan next season. Great deal I think. Hi, by the way.

We're not a club which can reinforce such a hardline approach for long.

It's all well & good taking the "if you don't have the right attitude you're out approach", but it'll spiral costs up even more as players need to be replaced (lord knows we need another striker already, despite having spent 5m on Grabban & BB leaving).

It's a top club attitude which we can only live with if we go up sharpish with FFP biting us in the arse. Hope the powers that be are aware of this.

Not surprising.

I think Appiah will play tonight...……..either starting or as a sub coming on.

Looking forward to it...……….he is better than BB.

Does anyone have any stats for Appiah, Gomis and Brereton?

How do we measure that he’ll be a success?

Goals scored?
Minutes played?
Blackburn’s league position?

number of free kicks/penalties he wins when he needlessly throws himself on the floor?
