My lad has just sent me a text saying he is expected to leave later this week. I sent one back asking where did he get that info from  :D :D

If EM and co have decided to terminate Sabri's contract, what is the point in prolonging his tenure by a few days? Is he going to continue to train the players in his way, knowing they may be expected to completely change their style once a new guy is brought in? Of course not!

If a decision has been made, then one of two things will happen. Either he will go straight away or EM wont say anything until he has got a replacement sorted out, in which case nobody is none the wiser!!

Other people at the club will get wind of what’s happening. Some of them are his coaches, for instance, so whilst there’s no need to announce anything until a replacement has been found or until they want to invite candidates for interview, some will know what’s happening.

Saddened by the official announcement with no thanks you message or good luck to Sabri. Not even their standard cut & paste announcement to thank him.

“Nottingham Forest can confirm that the contract of head coach Sabri Lamouchi has been terminated with immediate effect.”

Just checked & they said thanks to MON.

“Nottingham Forest can confirm that manager Martin O’Neill has left the club.

"The club would like to thank Martin for all his efforts during his time at The City Ground and wish him well for the future.”

Combined with zero thanks or even acknowledgement for captain Ben Watson leaving, to me this stinks of lack of class from the club.

It's never nice to see anyone sacked... even worse when it's a genuinely good person... but it needed to happen. Good luck sabri...

I agree. Whoever is responsible for putting these out there needs a good slappin. Watson and lamouchi need credit and a thank you at the very least.

Yes, the past six months have been pretty woeful but he is the first manager since Billy to have us in contention. He was a thoroughly decent chap who ultimately tried his best. He deserves a lot of credit. In hindsight it was perhaps better he had gone in the summer but I feel the consensus on here was to back him.

The start has been disastrous and it is clear he had lost whatever he had managed to instill in the players during the first half of the season. It is the right decision. Just wish the club could have shown some respect

I'm sure he will be back in management soon.

I am sure they were thanked in private which is more important than being thanked through the media. Nothing to see here.

Wouldn't have taken much though Sniff for them to just write one sentence thanking him for his service. The optics dont look good from our point of view.

Totally agree, it wouldn't have taken much to have thanked him for his service to the club and to wish him all the best.
