Excerpts:
Behind the scenes, it has also become apparent that Lamouchi’s popularity in the dressing room is not as strong as it was. Individuals had become frustrated at the manner in which they could be in the starting XI for one game and out of the squad completely for the next, without necessarily having performed badly. Several players did not know where they stood with him, complaining that he would tell them one thing and then do something entirely different. Call it the manager’s prerogative, perhaps. But whatever it was, it had contributed to a change in how a number of players had come to regard him.
To those of you that read my post last week about what my son had been told by a club insider...........this is more or less what I said. Losing some of the dressing room was one and not knowing what he was trying to say was another. Not prepared to discuss things with players who questioned what he wanted.
I have said previously that i had hoped he would be given the benefit of the doubt, but having read this report, i can honestly say that the time was right and yes, as others have stated, the running of the club higher up needs to be addressed also

Daniel Taylors job is to get people hooked on to paying subscriptions and making himself money.
Never forget that is his job.............. if he were writing boring stories with no "exciting details" then he would not be where he is.
Personally I am happy to see Lamouchi go.
Players look unfit.
Players look confused.
I got fed up with his interviews, never answering questions as it appeared he did not understand what the question was.
Things will get much better now with Chris in charge.

Spot on JWJW.
These type of articles are exactly why we don't get any interviews from the owners and Vrentzos etc. They help nobody.
I also remember when Marinakis first bought us all the cheap articles about alleged drugs and alleged match fixing etc and then people wonder why they don't communicate and give interviews.
Both D. Taylor and P. Taylor can do one. They are part of the problem and want to fill their pockets in the process.

Without DT fawaz would have got away with more. They have a role and the ownership does need questioning in its own right. Unfair that the manager is ALWAYS the fall guy.
However I agree with the sacking and appointment. Onwards...

And another thing. Why don't they grow a pair and tackle the owners directly about it?
I have no respect for them taking cheap shots via their articles.

You make a fair point with regards to journalism but take a detached view for a second, do you disagree with the points that have been made? The knee jerk response at Forest is always to blame the manager but those further up the hierarchy need to take responsibilty too. Vrentzos and Modest were appointed by Marinakis to run the club on his behalf. After 3 seasons they have clearly failed in their initial aims but are still here and from what I can see are still making mistakes.

I was the first to start a thread about Modesto and recruitment, I wasn't happy but can't people see that he's now having less of a say? Regarding Vrentzos what has he done wrong? He's negotiated some great fees for players that have been sold and also been instrumental in keeping us out of trouble with FFP etc. That's his job he's not invloved on the playing side. There are reasons why PL clubs are sniffing at him.
All Taylors articles do is fan the flames on social media etc. We don't need that S**t going on at our club, dividing the fans etc.

I thought it was a poorly written article when I read it to be honest. Some may be true but some may also not be. I'm old enough now to take everything I read with a pinch of salt.

When Warburton failed we blamed his naive tactics.
When Karanka failed we blamed his attitude, he had previous apparently.
When ONeill failed we blamed him because he was past it.
When Lamouchi failed we blamed negaive football, player disagreements, whatever you want.
Hughton has an impeccable CV, track record of promotion, attitude and respect from players has never been doubted.
So if he fails who or what are you going to blame?

They've probably tried to engage with the owners Sniff but been blanked. When that happens journalist's write a story anyway. Just an interview with Vrentzos or EM every 6 months would do enough to discharge their responsibility to communicate with the fan base.

Vrentzos. 70 players recruited in 3 years. Very few returned a profit, that is from the academy. Only 1 now plays in the PL. Many have got rich, contributed little and disappeared into obscurity.
The season ticket affair and communication of has been a shambles too.
Modesto. Less of an influence? 13 players recruited, half of which are unnecessary, the team that finished 7th dismantled. Is that all Lamouchi’s doing then?

Yeah that was my thinking too. You don't want to stifle the press, if they have good information I'm glad they released it and I think the tone of the article fit with where the majority of the fans are. Just a little concerned at some of the decisions made. If true that zoom call thing doesn't paint them in a good light. Tails gets enough stick anyway so its good he's revealing stuff when he does get it. Also good they waited till Sabri was actually sacked to reveal it, gave him a chance.
That said, it appears based on some decisions this summer that they have changed strategy a bit. The manager choice follows in the same vein as the majority of the transfer strategy. Signing proven championship players and a proven championship manager. Its what we've all been asking for. Just the odd weird one thrown in like the treatment of Rib/Silva.
