An act of desperation. At least we will won't have to watch it.

I'm not sure. 

We feared another unknown foreign manager who needs time to acclimatise. We've got a manager with proven track record of getting sides promoted. He inherits a good squad that had clearly lost confidence in the manager and simply this change might be enough to reignite the season. 

There are no guarantees but I feel we have a better chance with this guy than we did with lamouchi.

Pretty similar style to sabri really

Sabri tried to play from the back. He has brought centre backs in who can do that. Houghton plays like O Neil and Megson. Get the ball forward early. Nothing like the same style.

That is not correct. He very much likes to play like Sabri hos done. Comfortable defending in a low block and counter attack when the opportunity comes. At least that is what he did in the Premier League.

Yes, I am genuinely sad to see Sabri sacked, and had hoped he would be given a chance to bed in the new players, but he wasn't so we move on.

We have appointed Chris Hughton as manager, not my preferred choice, but he is appointed now and I will give him and the side my total support, like I have done with every other manager that has been given the role (well apart from maybe McClaren and McCleish).

I wish Sabri all the best for the future and hope he finds success in what ever he ends up doing next. Merci Monsieur et au revoir.

His record in the EFL is as good as it gets; his record in the PL not so good.

He has managed two promotions and two play offs in four attempts with his teams scoring 87, 78, 74 and 72 goals respectively; that compares with the top scorers last season scoring 77,77 and 80.

His job is to get us back to the promised land. Let’s get there - and worry about how we stay there later. With a record like that JCK I’m encouraged.
