In these miserable times I see no reason not to be optimistic. This man knows football inside out and will develop a formula that suits us and our situation right now.

Quietly happy with this.. has a proven record at this level.
Wish sabri all the best. Do think there should have been a thanks and good luck in the club's announcement though

We feared another unknown foreign manager who needs time to acclimatise. We've got a manager with proven track record of getting sides promoted. He inherits a good squad that had clearly lost confidence in the manager and simply this change might be enough to reignite the season. There are no guarantees but I feel we have a better chance with this guy than we did with lamouchi.

More new players will be required to implement it. What a complete joke Nottingham Forest have become. That is not correct. He very much likes to play like Sabri hos done. Comfortable defending in a low block and counter attack when the opportunity comes. At least that is what he did in the Premier League.

Thank f**k this is finally over!!!!
Yes, I am genuinely sad to see Sabri sacked, and had hoped he would be given a chance to bed in the new players, but he wasn't so we move on. We have appointed Chris Hughton as manager, not my preferred choice, but he is appointed now and I will give him and the side my total support, like I have done with every other manager that has been given the role (well apart from maybe McClaren and McCleish). I wish Sabri all the best for the future and hope he finds success in what ever he ends up doing next. Merci Monsieur et au revoir. I wish Chris all the best for the future and welcome to the World Famous Nottingham Forest Football Club. I hope you can get us back to the promised land! Now can we get back to talking predictions league and transfers and players and football, not bloody managers and gossip, rumours, assumptions and speculation please :P

Noticed he’s been appointed as Manager not Head Coach.
Best of luck to Sabri. Look forward to seeing what the Manager can do with the squad.

Fantastic news. The best manager we could have plausibly appointed at this time.
Similar cautious style to Sabri too. Welcome Chris.

I've made no secret of my desire for sabri to be gone. I am relieved it is done but it is never a nice feeling. I certainly wish him all the best and thank him for his efforts.
No on to the next chapter. A good appointment.... we will see. Fresh start and just in time IMO.

Well that didn't take long, as one door closes another one opens, and so a new chapter begins with Hughton
