really?  Warburton is a bad manager?  50% win ratio, mainly in the championship, pretty much 6 years championship experience, lost fewer than 1 in 3 games out of around 250 games, got the sack for not spending money?   On paper a much weaker squad than now.  How can we even debate this, he's produced some of the best football, great personality, ok into perfecting plan A, i'd prefer a manager who has 2 or 3 differant effective plans and prepared to make dramatic changes during the game.

Surely someone who has come up against every player, manager, system numerous times is very worthy of consideration, though he's a decent bloke and has good communication.

Ok get a big or small foreign name, they are handicapped.  But after all that most of the exciting managers don't fit your remit because they are attack minded?

Sides under Valverde look to play a bold, attacking brand of football. Valverde over his time at Bilbao and in Spain has shown a clear preference for a 4-2-3-1 formation. However, Valverde is tactically flexible. His 4-2-3-1 formation transitions into a 4-2-2-2 when the opposition has possession in their half. This allows for Valverde’s side to press high up the pitch and disrupt any play from the back.
To me he would be the standout person but we would have no chance of getting him.

Not seen Quique Sanchez Flores' name yet either, he usually gets a mention when we're on the manager hunt.

I would definitely fall off my chair with Valverde. Just maybe if we had got promoted we would have had a chance, no chance while we are Championship but nice to dream.
