Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit
Is history about to repeat itself for Sabri?

It is well documented that he took Rennes up to 5th in La Liga, qualifying for the Europa Cup, but in his second season he was sacked after 6 defeats and only 4 wins in his second season is charge. He took Forest up to 7th and we have just equalled a 66 year old record of losing our first 3 matches.

His time spent at Rennes was 13 months! he has been at Forest for 13 months!

Clearly 13 is unlucky for sabri!

Why would you give him more time?

I agree with what you said on the other thread about many of the new signings being unnecessary and like for like. But most of the better ones have been signed more recently, I do think Arter is decent, so is McKenna. So he put 7 new ones in today, some only met each other this week. You expect them to gel straight away?
Yes he needs more time, problem is he wont get it.

I would've been happy to see 3 or 4 at the most new signings starting tonight, but 8? That's ridiculous!

I don’t to be honest.

I think it’s a big ask.

I like the look of McKenna. I’m not convinced about Arter.

It’s Sabri’s choice to bring in so many players and his problem to bed them in whilst getting either performances or results.

Had we played Grabban, Mighten, Darikwa, Ribeiro and Yates instead of Taylor, Freeman, Christie, Blackett and Colback would the team have been much weaker in terms of performance or quality?

The reality is that he gets a win he gets more time.

I have held out hope that he would be able to turn it around. I really expected to see a better performance today. A goal, a point - something to think he would be able to work it out.

But that 35 minutes after we went a goal down was abject. And it wasn't as if he was short of options. He could have changed the shape and tactics but did not - the subs were pretty much like for like - especially the last two - and despite Huddersfield being a team low on confidence we barely threatened.

That for me was the moment where I felt he had to go

His answer - play 3 wingers.
Unbelievable.

Same thoughts. Early days though. Arter must be better than he showed today though. Like for Fulham at our place last season?
We are looking like the new Stoke, great squad list, crap results list.....

You could well be right with the Stoke comparison.

I’ve said elsewhere that a Fulham fan I know didn’t rate Arter, he happened to have four decent games toward the end of the season with notable moments that stole the headlines but was largely poor otherwise.

I was told he had 1 game to save his job before tonight... Whilst I would like to believe that was true it doesn’t make sense that we kept signing players under him.

I was told we had a replacement lined up..

None of it makes sense. I can’t see him going before the international break.

For me the unwillingness to change anything was disappointing, it feels like he's not learning from the mistakes made previously. I was really expecting a change in shape just to make us less predictable if nothing else.

The lack of chances created is obviously worrying and we badly receded in that second half. I'm a keen advocate for stability but I'm struggling to defend the position right now
